Spiraling Thoughts - Two Sides of the Double Helix
--- A Poem wrote by Yours Truly ---

Thoughts; sporadic, unhinged, they run their course.
Spawning emotions; a relentless storm, showcasing its chaotic force.

Sometimes a high, sometimes a low, we can admit they have a certain glow.
Emanating bright as a sun, or black as a night, they create both unending fun and an unwinnable fight.

Ignorance; comforting bliss, it stagnates things that are amiss.
We notice a void; impossible to fill, impossible to ignore, as it tries to kill the horizon upon the shore.

By the time we substitute a crutch, commonly substance, or even falsely placed trust,
We begin our acts of severance, regarding our confidence and internal reverence.

Before time can be unturned; a pirouette from our own silhouette, we must refocus.
Internal reflection, we must adhere to our self-affection, like leaves to the bud on a Crocus.

Look inside, confide in your stride, and let the tide divide the upside from the downside.
Fuel your thoughts with plots to reach as an astronaut, creating snapshots of jackpots the size of a yacht.

What’s this? A memory encased in glass? A fragile piece of the heart where my feelings amass?
This powerful force spurs a new thought, for is it not, crucial to my past?
Well if the past has passed, carrying with it all I’ve come to know, will I be alright come tomorrow?

The discovery of a lost memory carries weight in its thought, which spawns our emotions like a gunshot.
These emotions set in motion a notion of unnerving commotion, where crazy thoughts get a promotion.
