Seems to have been abandoned by the developers.
Disappointing lack of content.
Meeple get stuck and sometimes just can't be bothered to do what they're supposed to, to the point of starving to death for no reason.

The only thing that would make this game any better is online co-op.

Update:
It could maybe use some adjustments to improve its replay value, but I still enjoyed my second play through in pursuit of earning every last achievement.

Also, having read some other reviews that get into politics... I will not, but I will say this:
The story is a well written one and it's not poorly executed, so if it bothers you so much that you're willing to rage about it and give the game a poor review in spite of very few bugs and very smooth, enjoyable game play...
You should *probably* find a therapist.

For the most part, I really love this game. I'm a Machine Design Engineer by trade, and it just scratches my brain's itches in all the right ways. I've really enjoyed the time I've spent playing it.

The gameplay is fun, the graphics are beautiful, the audio is great, it's playable for people of all ages, you can play it over and over again, there's not really any story involved.

However, it has a few irritating issues that keep me from enjoying it as much as I'd like to.

My list of gripes from highest to lowest significance:
1. Multiplayer is buggy and has been for quite some time, and the devs just don't seem to care about that.

2. You can't automate the only way to generate power until you're (seemingly) halfway through the game, so in the beginning of the game, far too much of your time is spent being a human fuel conveyor.

3. Ladders and stairs shouldn't be an item you have to go out of your way to unlock.

4. The way research progression is laid out, you end up wanting to rebuild everything you did in the beginning of the game. Why? Well, once you get halfway through the game everything can be done far more efficiently. So, you look back at everything you've got going on that you've spent the past few weeks building, and you think to yourself "If I was going to build that now, I'd do it quite a bit differently". At which point, if you're anything like me, knowing that it could be improved drives you absolutely crazy and you have to improve it. So you spend weeks tearing down and rebuilding everything you spent weeks to build in the first place, just to make it match the aesthetics and efficiency of everything you've done more recently.

Phenomenal.
Just phenomenal.

The game is decent, but it's horribly buggy, and the DLC is obnoxiously priced.
If you start a game, you cannot exit the game to the main menu and go back into said game, or start any game at all, because exiting the game, or failing to connect to a multiplayer lobby, corrupts the game state, so you have to exit all the way to the desktop and restart the game constantly.

Far Cry 5... A beautifully designed environment, a wingsuit, LMGs, Flamethrowers, a heart wrenching story involving a family of incredibly evil people and strange mind-altering drugs, and best of all... Boomer the dog doing your scouting and Cheeseburger the bear mauling people to death on your orders. Pretty fantastic.

I don't remember 3 being anywhere near this glitchy/buggy. Since when do remasters make things worse?

Surprisingly good story

Easily one of the best built MMORPGs I have ever played, coupled with the most helpful and wholesome community I have ever seen in an online game. The Shadowbringers expansion is absolutely riveting - I couldn't walk away from it until I had completed the entirety of the story through the most current patch.

Update: The devs are still doing a pretty good job with this game, but the community seems to be falling apart anyway. Toxicity and drama are everywhere.

-Started playing game
-Chose difficulty level in which you only get one life (clearly always the best choice)
-Completed first few objectives
-Fell through the floor into oblivion
