I don't recommend this game... at full price.
Its a good game, don't get me wrong - great visuals, very unique combat (for a Lego game) that pays homage to combat from the mainline series and unlike most Lego games - everything's actually made out of Lego.

So why the negative review?

It's not a "Lego" game that we're all used to - no hundreds of characters, no minikits to collect, no "true character" in a level - no standard levels for that matter. Its just doing the same couple dozen rooms mixed together with different weapons and some story thrown in.

The "endgame" is thoroughly underwhelming too. After I'd done all bar 4 of the community challenges, it still took about 10 hours to finish grinding the 3 other characters to max level. Not great for an endgame really.

I hope future Lego games take some inspiration from this title, but sometimes the original formula has been in place for all these years because it works.

Do NOT buy this game unless it is heavily discounted. £60 is a joke and I can only laugh at myself for forking that out for this.
