CS:GO Review
A great game mechanically. You'll never find another shooter that is based so purely on skill like Counter Strike Global Offensive. People are not good at this game because of a thing they purchased on the store front or because of the weapon that they picked up, they are good at it because they have a good sense of teamwork, game sense, and pure aiming skill. This is the appeal of Counter Strike, and I didn't get it until recently. If you want to turn your brain off when you play a game, do not invest your time into it. However, if you like learning a useful set of skills that will most likely carry over into other shooter games, then this is the game for you. It also helps that currently, at the time of writing this review, this nearly 7 year old game is still getting frequent, game changing updates from the team at Valve. This shows that it's not going anywhere anytime soon, and with the recent addition of free to play, I think Global Offensive is going to have the lifespan of a game like League of Legends, and possibly like World of Warcraft.

The only problems that I have with this title is that they make gameplay changes without considering how it's going to screw up the achievement system. Of course, as many people have demonstrated, all CS:GO achievements are fully achievable, but that is not without modifying of the games files. Valve most likely has a way to modify achievements on Steam games, why not use it on their own property? But anyway, this is a very, VERY small gripe to have with this game. As long as you as a player keep improving in skill and actively dedicate yourself to learning some important tactics, then Global Offensive will be a great game for you.

Matchmaking can be a little ♥♥♥♥♥ unpredictable. I have been in a Silver 2 hellhole for a while, but I have been constantly winning matches and top-fragging. Am I really that bad?

Story wise, this game is not on par with the rest of the Metal Gears. Compared to the last few Metal Gear games, it just falls apart. However, this is some of the best gameplay the series has to offer. It feels satisfying, quick, clean. A huge step up from the linear ugliness that were the previous game's archaic controls and empty combat gameplay. You can approach every mission differently, and you're always doing something that serves a purpose. It feels amazing to sneak around, as well as to light crap up. I like this game. 8/10

I really like this game and if you count my console hours I have put over 400 hours into it. The end game is weak though and once you complete the main story there isn't much to do. The companion system is cool though. 8/10.

Castle Crashers is a fun game that you can play with multiple people. Now, I completed this game by myself with no other people helping, however, the entertainment value is still there.

Talking as a singleplayer experience, I do think the game is too short and can get repetitive at points. But ignoring all of that, this game is essentially flawless. The goofy cartoon style is fun and fits the tone of the game perfectly. The humor is very much Old-School Newgrounds and being that the game is published by them, it makes sense. The hack-and-slash gameplay is standard, but the leveling system makes it feel a lot more dynamic than it could have been.

Now as a multiplayer game, this is the ultimate game to pop-out. The game is short, but that is great if you just want to complete the game in one night with a couple of friends. The gameplay feels a lot more insane and fast-paced when there are four people on the team rather than just one. I often lost track of where I was, and that is not bad. It just kept me on the edge of my seat more. If you really want to experience this game, you should get together a couple of controllers and friends, and just go from the beginning.

This game has HUGE replay value. This is always essential in games with short campaigns like this. You may have "completed" the game, but you haven't collected all the pets, or all the characters, or all the weapons. There is so much more to this game then there is on the surface.

TL;DR great multiplayer game, and has replay value

Although I have just bought the Steam version with all the DLC, I have extensively played this on my old Xbox 360, and I can tell you it is one of the best games I have played.

Unlike other games in the series, this one feels the most like an RPG. I say this is because it was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Whenever that company picks up a game, they put their heart and soul into it no matter what. Bethesda is not terrible, but I feel they are less interested in making a great Role-Playing Game when making their Fallout games, and more interested in the shooting and exploration elements of the game. While nothing is wrong with that, if you can really focus in on those classic RPG elements, it always makes it an instant classic in my book.

The main story presented in the game is not that interesting at first. You're a Courier. A mailman. You were supposed to deliver a package, but you got shot by a man in a checkered suit. Doesn't seem engaging, but as you keep playing more and more threads keep getting introduced. The multiple factions that are having disputes across South-Eastern Nevada. The tales the many people you meet have to tell. The locations you discover and loot. There is so much more to this game than just a linear story about finding your killer.

The gun combat is a step-up from it's predecessor Fallout 3. While that is not saying much, it's so much more satisifying being able to use the iron-sights the guns have, rather than sort of just zooming in the screen and hoping that increases your accuracy. It also introduces new types of guns and goes into more detail about their damage outputs and such. There is so much more the guns now than just damage and fire rate. There's DPS, shotgun spread, and a lot of other things. By itself, the gun combat is still pretty bad (especially compared to other games at the time), but it is still a considerable improvement from Fallout 3.

The features that are completely brand new are great as well. The faction reputation system is one of the most fantastic ideas to come out of the 3D Fallout games yet. You have multiple levels of reputation you can get. You can be loved in the community and be rewarded for doing so, or you can be vilified and be shot on sight. And it's not just the big factions that have reputations either. Small towns give you a reputation. This means that every action you do, positive or negative, has an impact outside of karma. Now, karma is a good system, don't get me wrong, but the faction reputation system is just another layer that adds so much to the game. I'm surprised it wasn't included in Fallout 4, considering the huge importance of factions is that game.

The only problems this game has have to do with it's many year old engine. The people look like plastic dolls, and while that can be fixed with mods, that means people who play in vanilla won't have the greatest looking experience in the world. However, this is a problem that Bethesda introduced, not Obsidian, so I can't blame them for these problems. Other Bethesda-related problems include constant crashing, bad HUD, etc. If you don't bring these things into mind, then this game is pretty much flawless. If Obsidian had enough time to develop a brand new engine for this Fallout game, then I am sure that it would have been much better. If Obsidian had enough time in general, this could have been a much better game.

Obsidian was only given an 18 month development time. A year and a half. In the game developing world, that is effectively nothing. If you look at the concept art for the game, New Vegas (the city) was supposed to be HUGE! Dense, crazy, bustling with activity. But because of how short of a development time they got, they could only make the puny in comparison New Vegas we see today. I'm sure if Obsidian was able to remake Fallout: New Vegas with Fallout 4's engine, we would be able to see the New Vegas Obsidian would have wanted.

I would give this a 9/10

TL;DR, great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

This game is great. I can say that I have never played the original Payday, however without using that game to base my judgement on, this game is one of the best I have ever played.

The gun combat is satisfying, the heists are exciting, the masks are fun, the characters each have their own individual personalities. All the gun animations are smooth as butter, and there's a world of possibility behind every loadout.

Get together a couple of friends, and just have a good time. You won't regret it.

This game sucks. There is no doubt about it. Don't waste your time even looking at reviews. Just don't get it. Don't.

With about 450 hours into the game, I think I need to re-write my review of this game. I know what you may be thinking, "450 hours isn't a whole lot for a game like this". Let me tell you this, I don't care. I do believe that I am a decent enough player to write a detailed review of this game, despite my relatively 'small' amount of hours put into the game.

Let me just say, this game is really good. Like, really good. Valve really knows what they are doing with every game that they release. Although I am not a fan of the old Team Fortress Classic, I do believe that this game is fantastic. The style makes the game ooze uniqueness, distinguishing it from the gritty Call of Duty style shooters that often dominate today's gaming market. It's a fresh take on the FPS genre, (at least when it was released it was), and it shows this uniqueness through the gameplay.

The gameplay for this game is so varied that you can spend thousands of hours just playing the same 6 maps over and over again and still have a different gameplay experience everytime. You can customize your weapon loadouts with eaze. You can use the Force A Nature and Crit A Cola to become a machine that can mow down a whole enemy team in 5 seconds. You can use the Gunslinger and Frontier Justice to become an offensive powerhouse that can strike the unexpecting. The possibilites are endless and limitless. You can also find many funny people in the game, and because of this aspect, TF2 will be giving your hippocampus some more memory to fill, because you will remember many interestingly funny things that have happened in the game. I remember seeing a Spy and an Engie just having a sap and wrench battle, and the Engie wasn't even trying to do anything about it.

The cosmetics of the game also add a huge part of the game. While these things are indeed purely cosmetic (hence the name) they add a sense of individuality to the game, and it's hard to get that in FPS games today. Sure, there are paints that you can put on your weapons and skins that you can wear, but can you fully customize every little aspect of the character? There is a cosmetic that gives a merc and afro. There's one where you can follow every gamer stereotype ever and where a fedora. On top of that, you can make cosmetic sets, where you can use multiple cosmetic at once, to make your character as unique as possible.

Although, the game does come with a small bunch of flaws. Mainly balancing issues. As well as Valve changing things without ever thinking about the repercussions of adding those changes (I'm talking to you, Short Circuit). But through all that I'd give this game a 9/10

TL;DR; Fresh take on FPS genre with ifinite possibilites and unique style. TFTeam does suck. 9/10
