So.. I have just finished the game and managed to get all the achievements in it. Here is my review for this game.

I have just finished the story. For me this was quite a difficult game to play but probably not for the reasons you may think. I have played a lot of single player story games in my time but I can't say I have played one quite like Chernobylite. It is very unique in terms of storytelling, graphics and playstyle.

I will start with all the good parts of the game. The graphics are really really good, back in the day I used to play this on a 2080Ti and couldn't use raytracing or high spec graphical options but on my 5090 I found this game to be really beautiful. The story of the game is also good, not 'very' good, just good and I will get to that. It follows along reasonably well but sometimes I felt there be a bit of filler content just to kind of buff out the games run time but it was enjoyable to play so that was fine. The base building aspect of the game is also reasonably fun as well and after some trial and error you can get your head around it. The ending, which I won't spoil, was unexpected and reasonably hard hitting for a indie production game. Its not the ending I would have put into the game but it was good none the less!

The bad things about the game... and there are a lot... but they aren't *really* bad, they are just kinda annoying. In terms of learning how the game works its a bit difficult. Earlier in the review I spoke about playing this on a 2080Ti, this is because I tried to play this game about 3 years ago but I found it way to hard to get my head around how I play it. This being the base building and also the idea of what I am actually meant to do. The game does NOT hold your hand in terms of telling you what to do and for new/inexperienced gamers I can understand why people would give up on this game, as I did. But I came back to it after Steam suggested it and decided to ride it through. The game is quite long, it took me about 20H to complete the game and I was moving at quite a pace towards the end but unfortunately this was due to the filler content. There are certain missions (particularly the ones were your wife makes you find things around a certain area) which feel really long.. with not much impact on the story. In terms of the story, it leads you through really well and creates a super cool foundation for what I thought was going to be a cool and/or heroic ending. The ending was.. flat.. good but flat and really didn't go in the direction I feel it should have. There were a few graphical glitches and I also had the enemies difficulty at the max and still found myself to not have died a single time or really even got close to it the whole time. Remove that stupid feature where you can see where the enemies are about to shoot and it would make it much more immersive.

All in all... its a good game, really it is. The story is nicely played out, characters are well thought out and for once I didn't really find any characters to be annoying or unlikable (Most games there is normally at least one character you cannot stand). The choices you make throughout the game feel like they have meaning and it is good to see your choices effect the map when you wake up.

Overall this game is a solid... 6.8/10. Its not quite a 7 but I felt like 6 or 6.5 Didn't do it justice. It is definitely worth a try.

Thanks for reading if you got this far :)
