I can imagine Bethesda having a third-party remake this game from the ground up. New engine, story choices that change the narrative, side missions, assassin's creed style gameplay with parkour and free-flow sword combat, serious voiceacting and alternative outfits. Make it sorta entail the original idea, stories set in the universe but on a more lore friendly and serious writing style and modernize the gameplay. Anyone else hoping they someday tackle remaking the spin-off or older entries?...

What's the matter, Beth? You could offer TES Arena and Daggerfall as (probably) permanent F2Ps, but the generosity stops at Redguard and Battlespire?

I'm just about to finish Battlespire and while it's technically quite a frustrating game, I still had fun (and was able to reach the final level with just one bug that was fairly easy to circumvent). I'm reading through these discussions though, and it's looking kind of bleak. Some business with renaming a sound file, 95% loading bugs, numerous "this quest is unfinishable" threads... should I bother with this at all? Is the GOG version any better (I own both)?...

What is this? Memorable characters, cool protagonist, dialogue engaging with plenty lore and unafraid to have fun characters. It's probably the most charming Elder Scrolls game because of the setting and story. I really think they should make another game like this (Elder Scrolls Adventures) for Summerset Isle or especially Elsweyr. Now this is held back by being old, terrible implementation of combat and the controls. Janky is a perfect word for it. Oblivion's getting an official remaster or "remake", ...
