The 2025 Game of the Year (nominee) truly did not disappoint. The game is packed full of secrets and optional content it's crazy! The platforming and bosses are fun and challenging and it was really fun learning a boss or room enough to eventually beat it. I never ran in to anything I couldn't overcome and could clear things with relative ease. (Except Beastfly that one was hard mostly because of the RNG minion summons)

If I ever had trouble with a boss it was mostly because I forgot to utilize one of Hornet's many abilities and once I did it was usually 3 more tries and done.

I thankfully managed to beat the game before the difficulty patch (which people are complaining they didn't nerf enough for some reason) and I am super happy with the time I spent with the game. Currently working on 100%ing the game (not Steel Soul tho screw that) and the post game is worth it if you can figure out all the steps.

All in all this was worth the wait and I can't wait for it to officially win GOTY 2025

This game has been my favourite game of all time since even the first game in 2013 and has continued to uphold its reputation as my favourite game/franchise for almost a decade. Every update makes it 10x better and I love the effort the devs put into making the game an all around better experience for new and old players.
