The one thing you should know going into this game is that this is not a cutting edge, highly balanced, highly competitive fighting game. Hell, CC2 has essentially abandoned the game and won't even give us rollback, so online is as dead as「insert literally any dead Jojo character here, you have plenty to choose from」This is a fanservice game through and through. But, the fanservice is really fanservicy. You want to stop time at the nine second mark as Jotaro against DIO? You can do that. You want to predict your opponents next line as Joseph Joestar? You bet (with one exception). You want to tell Gay Priest's stupid OP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powers NO U with even more stupid OP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powers? You have TWO options for that. It even references one of the better non-Araki Jojo works with Fugo getting his upgraded Stand.
If you're a Jojo fan, you'll love it. If you want a competitive, balanced, or even functional online fighting game, you'll he extremely disappointed.

Something about this game didn't click with me. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, maybe it's because I'm caring less for turn-based RPGs, but I kind of doubt both of those. Despite being sold as a silly Earthbound clone, it didn't really capture my interest after an hour of play, especially when I started looking at the massive list of characters you wind up recruiting.

This is the kind of game a streamer plays and they name all of the characters after the stream regulars, they have a laugh, and then never touch the game again.

Still fun eight years later. As for story, you're probably better off if you HAVEN'T played any Metal Gear games before.

This game has no right to be as good as it is. By all accounts it doesn't make sense. The music is edgy, the writing is corny, the accents are terrible, the gameplay is over-the-top weebshit. One villain is a meme-spouting redditor, one really likes September 12th for some reason, and one played college ball at University of Texas.

But then you caber toss a Metal Gear in the first five minutes of the game and it all makes sense.
