I’ll be honest — Civ 7 feels a little lacking right now. Some of the mechanics aren’t explained very well, and a few systems feel harder to understand than they probably should be. It can take a while to figure out what certain pieces actually do or how everything connects together. The UI and tutorials could definitely be clearer.

That being said… it’s still fun.

Once things start clicking, the game has that classic “one more turn” addiction. The plague mechanics add a cool layer of chaos and strategy. Watching diseases spread across cities and trying to manage the fallout actually makes mid-game more interesting instead of just snowballing. It forces you to adapt instead of just cruising to victory.

It’s not perfect, and it feels like it needs a bit more depth and polish. But the core gameplay loop is still strong. If you like Civ and you’re patient enough to learn the systems, there’s definitely fun to be had here.

Right now it feels like a good foundation that just needs more content and refinement.

It’s a shame not many people are playing FragPunk right now because it’s honestly super fun. I never really got into Valorant or CS2, and I never thought hero shooters would be for me at all. But this one just clicks—fast rounds, smooth movement, cool abilities, and the shooting feels satisfying without being too intense.
If you’re curious, give it a try with an open mind. You might end up enjoying it way more than you expect. Solid recommendation.

I picked a faction.
Now I care way too much about space politics.

Dawn of War II: Retribution is less about building bases and more about yelling “WHY ARE YOU NOT IN COVER” at your screen. Squads matter, positioning matters, and one bad decision can turn your elite units into red mist.

The campaign is cool because you get to see the same story from different factions, which means everyone is both the hero and absolutely unhinged. The combat is tactical, brutal, and very unforgiving if you try to play it like a traditional RTS.

If you like strategy games that reward smart plays and punish bad ones immediately, this is great. If you want to relax and casually spam units, the Emperor will not protect you here.

For the Emperor. Probably.

I blinked.
I died.

UBERMOSH:WRAITH is pure chaos condensed into a few minutes of neon violence. There is no tutorial, no mercy, and barely any explanation. You move, you swing, you explode things, and eventually the screen explodes you back.

The game is fast, loud, and allergic to patience. Enemies come from everywhere, attacks overlap, and surviving feels less like skill and more like controlled panic. Somehow, it works.

If you like twitchy action, short intense sessions, and games that respect exactly zero seconds of your time, this is great. If you want clarity, pacing, or forgiveness, absolutely not.

I’ll try one more run.

I opened this for nostalgia.
I stayed because arcade games are still mean.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is a collection of classic games that do not care about your comfort, your time, or your feelings. These games were built to eat your quarters, and they have not forgotten their mission.

Everything is fast, loud, and brutally honest. You will die in seconds, learn nothing, try again, and somehow have fun doing it. The rewind and save features help, but the games still remind you who’s in charge.

If you love retro arcade chaos and testing your reflexes, this collection is great. If you expect modern hand-holding or balance, you are about to get humbled by a game from 1989.

Insert coin. Try again.

I tried to follow the main story.
Then someone asked me to find a frying pan.

The Witcher 3 is a game where every “quick side quest” turns into a full emotional arc with monsters, politics, and a morally questionable choice that will haunt you later. You’re just trying to help, but somehow it’s never simple.

Combat is solid, the world is massive, and the writing goes way harder than it needs to. Even random villagers have better stories than most main characters in other games. Also, Gwent exists, and it will absolutely derail your priorities.

If you like deep stories, meaningful choices, and getting distracted in the best way possible, this game is incredible. If you want fast progress and clean decisions, this world will not cooperate.

Just one more contract.

I expected the board game.
I got explosions.

Hasbro’s BATTLESHIP takes a very calm tabletop game and turns it into a loud action movie. Instead of politely saying “you sunk my battleship,” you’re calling in airstrikes and blowing holes in the ocean.

The strategy is light, the missions are straightforward, and most of the fun comes from watching ships explode in increasingly dramatic ways. It’s not deep, but it knows exactly what it is.

If you want a simple, mindless action game with a familiar name slapped on it, this works. If you’re expecting deep naval strategy, you’re in the wrong ocean.

Hit. Miss. Boom.

This is Borderlands, but with a fresh coat of paint and the same bad decisions.

Borderlands GOTY Enhanced takes the original chaos and smooths it out just enough to remind you why this series works. The guns still feel ridiculous, the desert is still empty, and you’re still opening chests hoping this one finally respects you.

It looks better, runs better, and adds some quality-of-life changes, but it’s still very much old-school Borderlands. Expect lots of driving, lots of shooting, and lots of loot that’s either perfect or immediately sold.

If you want the classic Borderlands experience without the roughest edges, this is the version to play. If you’re expecting Borderlands 2 levels of insanity, temper expectations.

Still chasing better loot.

I pressed one button.
The other player pressed all of them.

Street Fighter V is a fighting game where you think you know what you’re doing right up until someone deletes half your health bar in one combo. The skill gap is real and it does not care about your feelings.

The controls feel great, the characters are iconic, and every match is either a clean win or a very fast lesson. Online will humble you. Training mode will become your second home.

If you like learning mechanics, improving over time, and getting destroyed before you get better, this game is solid. If you want casual button-mashing victories, prepare for pain.

Back to training mode.

I thought this was a normal RPG.
Then the game told me not to level up.

Final Fantasy VIII is a beautiful mess with a combat system that actively punishes you for playing it like a normal person. Instead of grinding, you’re supposed to steal magic, hoard it like a dragon, and be afraid of experience points.

The story is dramatic, confusing, and very serious about feelings, destiny, and whatever time travel is doing today. Squall says very little, but when he does, it’s usually “whatever,” which honestly fits the mood.

If you enjoy experimenting with weird systems and don’t mind reading guides, this game is rewarding. If you just want to hit things and get stronger, FFVIII will fight you every step of the way.

I still don’t fully understand junctions.
