A very fun, chill, adventure game with a fulfilling upgrade system as you progress the story. The game doesn't take it's self too seriously, sometimes made me giggle even with some of the jokes it has made so far. But generally I'm also enjoying running around farming and exploring.

Runs well on weaker hardware aswell, I'm playing co-op and their laptop 4060 is able to max out the games setting at 1080p 90fps+ all the time.

One issue I always have with UE4 titles is they all seems to rely heavily on TAA or FXAA for AA, having them disabled the game has a lot of noise or an insane amount of jaggies so you're forced to use a "blurring" form of AA. This game is no different, so I'll leave a tip below if you want a better TAA implementation below, aswell as other tweaks to make the game looks less blurry:

Navigate to - C:\Users{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Towers\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini

and paste this below it, leaving 1 blank space inbetween, once you have pasted this and saved the files, you can now set Engine.ini to "Read-Only":

Questionable physics at times, but it's pretty fun. Didn't expect to see DLSS either, it's not usually in these "friend slop" games, guess it makes sense because it can be pretty taxing on the GPU even without Lumen enabled.

Very enjoyable for the price, plenty of playability with the maps provided. Much longer than I anticipated them to be.

P.S ♥♥♥♥ the bears.

EDIT: Now I've finished the first map (Mabutts valley), I have to say the last couple checkpoints are an entirely different vibe of game. I wasn't happy with the sudden "genre shift". It was less "puzzle like" and went more into action, I didn't like this. Still recommend it because the rest of the game is fun however, just a shame how it ends.

2nd EDIT: Same for the map after this. Sudden genre shift to action from puzzle.

Has online only content that will not function in offline mode. So the F1 Movie content for example, the DLC they offer and say you pay for. Yes, this would mean in the future this portion of the game would not work once EA move on from F1 25 and shut the servers down.

Also has anti cheat which spys on you even when you're in offline mode. I got banned for single player modding despite never connecting to online mode, since I went out of my way to fix a lot of their incompetence. But this also means I cannot access the DLC I paid for since it requires you to connect to their servers.

Also yeah, don't expect your FFB to work properly even on controller. How you may ask? Coin flip. Maybe it's intermittent, maybe you start the race and it doesn't work, maybe it disappears mid corner, the list goes on.

Thanks EA.

P.S if you want a more modular game, more freedom. Get F1 23. Assuming you can get a key, since you know, EA took that down from the steam store aswell.

All implementations of AA are terrible in this game, and no AA looks horrible aswell sadly. And DLSS 1 is insanely oversharpened while still maintaining the terrible DLSS1 downsides. It badly, badly needs updating to support the newer DLSS SR. Especially since the transformer model just dropped, I imagine this'd fix everything wrong graphically I have with it. Such as the shimmering, aliasing, "fizzing" and ghosting.

Please Square Enix. It'd turn my review negative to positive.
