(about new genesis specifically)
It's good, firstly the gacha component is decently fair; you can earn a lot from just playing and everything you can't earn from playing you can at least trade for and the game is near constantly giving you handouts.

As for the game aspect, combat is a fun mix of break-action and strategic timing/utilization of spells (techniques) and abilities, the classes are generally unique from each-other as well fitting into one niche extreme that they alone do well and being generally good at either physical or magical damage. Class weapon design and fantasy is pretty decent in this game as well, being able to wear whatever you want and use whatever you can, weapon "Types" aren't usually limited to one category of weapon, as in you can get axes and axe cosmetics for a sword/wand for example, which opens up character visual customization a lot.
Gear and equipment grinding can be a real pain, however that's only at max level where you have to worry about researching what traits you'll need for gear, the game gives you free max equipment appropriate for your level as you play through the story otherwise.
The story isn't anything special but some cutscenes can be visually stunning with grand kaiju-level fights.

Character customization for most phantasy star games in general seem to be way ahead of their time, new genesis being the latest lets you do some absolutely crazy character visual designs if you're willing to put in the time to collect the massive amount of cosmetic options this game actually has, the freely relocatable accessory system opens up a lot of opportunity to do cool unintended looks with accessories that otherwise would have only been worn in one way, that and being able to create your own palette to swap the colors of items for is quite nice.

I've played original pso2 on and off when it was JP-only, and I barely scratched the surface of that game, I continued playing new genesis on and off for a while too after it's release since it didn't feel like there was all that much going on, but I've been coming and going every now and then up until now, though recently I've been visiting the older titles like portable star 2 and after looking back at those games I've come to appreciate where new genesis is now a lot more, now I've even taken some strategies I've used in the older titles into the new game, which just feels cool to be able to do.

TL;DR Fundamentally speaking the game plays well and the fashion is good but you'll inevitably grow bitter if you play it as your primary MMO due to a lack in content outside of mindless combat. (which is all I play this game for)

Until You Fall is a grrrrrrrreatly enjoyable VR experience combining gameplay elements and UI seamlessly with VR controls, it's like playing Infinity Blade in VR where the goal is to fly between focused 1v1 scenarios and create fluid slashes across the enemies in a dance that can easily tie into each next fight, the bosses are a fun bit of exercise as well.

Also the soundtrack for this game is insanely good.

The gameplay was fun when I could play it, but on a crash this game unironically zero joking bricked my 2060, costing me lots of time.
If you're going to play the game make sure you re-launch often or it'll pile up with issues and may result in overloading your hardware.

Very good despite being very hard at the same time, if you have maybe finished elden ring once and didn't really want to replay the whole game again just for different builds then this is the game for you, it cuts the fat off that experience and lets you enjoy practically the same game in a fun co-op package.

You do have to plan for the bosses themselves never standing still, though.

It's the average survival crafting rpg but they let you do all the fun stuff immediately from the start which is honestly pretty nice; think lego fortnite, more than valheim. If you have any frame of reference for either, anyways.

I like that I can cast spells to explode rocks immediately after banging rocks for a bit to get more spell rocks to cast powerfully useful utility spells, and none of this is tied to playing a mage or not, which is far more preferable to other crafting games where you have to do all sorts of jumps and hoops to get any mileage out of your time.

this game is really funny but the mascot should really just be the funny little robots and not the weird emoji

Can be stressful at times but overall an extremely good strategy shooter with great weapon feedback, trap variety, environmental interactions which can also make more room for traps and some really fantastic music. 10/10 would have several grenades chucked at my forehead again.

if you enjoy (or used to enjoy) games like dungeon defenders / orcs must die for their lane focused tower-hero gameplay give this a try

I 100% this game on hard and while I do like it; often the long reload, chambering, and jamming were more of an annoyance than a fun novelty, trying to quick load and chamber the sniper rifle for example would sometimes just glitch out and eat the bullet you were trying to chamber forcing you to chamber another bullet despite pressing neither the eject or reload buttons which made it a very frustrating gun to use for the lackluster firepower it possessed, which can be said of most weapons in this game really- having enemies that scale in difficulty and no way to increase your own damage can do that. Good guns: Meta-Magnum, Machine Rifle laser alt-fire, Flash II with cluster-heads upgrade, Sawn-off is okay for close quarters but pales in comparison to the Shockhammer. That's about it though as the rest are just ammo dumps.

I will note though that once I got the grappling hook and every level-up upgrade I stopped caring about completing the levels linearly and just grappled to the finish ignoring every enemy and finished up very quickly, it does still feel fair since most of the levels near the end deteriorated in quality heavily, specifically the flying vehicle level which had lots of z-fighting and clipping objects with very little to no decoration.

also adding that yeah I was drawn in by the more sultry contents of the game, the game itself was fun, story kinda sucked though I mean the "martyr" title really meant absolutely nothing in the end by making the most self-serving decision possible.
