A good game that could've been a great game. Decent system, great concept.

Unfortunately, the low-information UI and poor AI really held this game back. There are few options for fine-tuning a settlement, and virtually no options for dictating how scarce resources are used. Settlements have low resilience, meaning a moderate calculation error can send hours of work into a death spiral from which you cannot recover.

These are issues the modding community could probably tackle, and some perhaps have.

Delightful and wacky. I love that it doesn't take itself too-seriously.

Love this game, and that's not just the nostalgia talking. There's no hand-holding, and some sections can be quite puzzling. The higher difficulties are just the right amount of hard.

Started a replay of this game recently. After sinking about 11 hours into it, couldn't reload my save. Something about "server access"? Fortunately, Half-life: Source lets you pick which chapter you start in, so I just picked up my game over there.

Absolutely loved everything about this game. The soundtrack and art style is peaceful and nostalgic, reminding me of my childhood on the farm...

...Thing is, I didn't grow up on a farm, nor have I visited one. I spent most of my childhood glued to a TV screen playing Mario, and I'm pretty sure I've never laid eyes on a cow IRL. So idk what that's all about. Game fabricates memories or somesuch... ANY-hoo

Brain manipulation aside, this game was a delight. Far more than a Harvest Moon SNES clone, it took the heritage of that old farm simulator, with all its rustic charm, and expounded upon it a way no other game has before or since. It's more than just a fun game. Stardew Valley tugs at the heartstrings. The peaceful and immersive atmosphere, rewarding gameplay, impactful decision-making and engaging characters all work together to make your time in Pelican Town both entertaining and romantic. 11/10

If this game is nothing else, its a great traffic simulator. 5/5

Game sucked me in. Once I climbed the fairly steep learning curve, I couldn't put it down.
