I like the game, but I have to give it a negative review right now because it is so messy, buggy, and samey.

The border gore in 1.0.10 is horrible, the world is a thunder dome of the strongest nations at game start munching up the little guys and turning into the same campaign as the last. Everybody can colonize (I'm aware that there is a setting to change that but its clunky), There is no Portugal (IYKYK), Colonies have gross province names and have no soul, There are way too many bugs about rebellions, such as joining foreign rebellions of your pops as the aggressor without an option pulling you into unwinnable wars, The Mamluks are too strong, Tech is weird and unintuitive, there is no Ottoman Empire, (Just the little Beylik of the Ottomans), and the trade and production needs way better UI to understand what is happening, to upgrade buildings that are out of date, and lastly the tooltips need far more explanation.

There are many good things like the military, the colonial depth of choice, and The Hundred Years War.

RimWorld Royalty is an amazing expansion without a doubt in my mind. As I mentioned in my main RimWorld review I appreciate creative writing and good storytelling. This expansion builds on the game's ability to tell a nice story by adding new quests for Imperial Honor, reputation, and physical rewards alongside new clothing pieces, a faction, and Imperial permits which allow all sorts of things such as Orbital Salvos (Airstrikes) and squads of imperial soldiers to be called down to aid said pawn. Definitely worth the money in my eyes!

This game is truly a modern masterpiece. I am not joking and I don't take that statement lightly. At the time of writing this I have 690 hours on the game and I can say that the stories I have seen play out in this game have been nothing less than novel as well as artistic. I'm a big fan of playing through scenarios within the scope of the science fantasy setting of this game, and to be honest I am a prudent player! I play with no mods with the exception of "Prepare Carefully" and I know that I will be following this game for the rest of my life.

In this game you can use the any of the pre-made scenarios to play a more vanilla form of the game along the developers lines as a tribe of five trying to survive together, three crash landed crew members of a space wreck with a better understanding of technology, or a lonesome and wealthy explorer. My favorite however is playing a single person that starts with nothing... not even clothes on their back.

If surviving in Rim-world's desolate yet bustling worlds in those scenarios doesn't sound fun then you can just use the scenario editor and create whatever kind of cake walk or skull crushing story you'd like. Rather it is full of sunshine and rainbows or viscous ancient machines with nothing but orders to kill on sight the game will not disappoint.

As someone who likes to create story's and literature I will say that this game has given me so many happy moments within my life not just through the gameplay and challenge but also through inspiring me to use my creative talents and giving me an outlet for them.
