We asked, we begged. EA Origin did it, GOG did it, now Steam came finally around and is offering easy refunds too. Since I am writing this I guess I'm still alive and the world did not end.


Here are the corner stones of Steam new refund policy.

• You can request a refund for any game that you bought in the last 14 days and didn't played more than 2 hours.
  
  
• That includes DLC, unless those DLC's gave you immediately bonuses, like an extra level. So no scamming here.
  
  
• If you think you are special, and the 14 days and 2 hour rule don't apply to you, you can still ask for a refund. Steam will listen to you and look if there are special circumstances to make an exception.
  
  
• If you're unlucky and bought a game just before a sale. It's completely OK for Steam to ask for a refund, and immediately buy the game again for the discounted prices.
