The year is 2X55.

In the small city of Paradise, the Middle Sea Republic makes its rounds continuously sweeping the streets of crime. With the current tension between the people and the MSR, the force that once conquered the searing steppes underneath spike-clad boots, the MSR finds difficulty maintaining order over the anarchistic masses. Between routine screenings, and martial law, the inhabitants never seem to forget the suffocating presence of the Middle Sea Republic.
Aside from the MSR, SkyTech makes its presence known with their vast scientific research and state-of-the-art bionics. Being the only medical service available, SkyTech's "Cybernetics" laboratory has replaced many estranged limbs. With all of the pressure from the MSR and the social stigmas of body modifcation, the streets run rampant with drugs and the homeless. Albeit a pressing issue, the MSR does not seem to care about the present influence of the drug culture on the masses. Instead, they make sure their own agenda is achieved. So remember, watch out for people in spiked-armor, and stay off the steps!
