"The Definitive Guide to Mondrian Maker and Mondrian Studio" Preorders Now Available

Okay, here's a weird one for ya! So in the midst of developing The Last Exhibit update for Mondrian, I realized that the Instructions panel in Mondrian Maker was drastically outdated. And small. And not anywhere near compatible with screen readers. Lots of issues. So I spent a couple days experimenting, trying to get it to work as a sub application that could scroll or just creating a custom window scrolling solution for it and... nothing worked.

At that point it became time to write up the first official manual for Mondrian Maker, and The Definitive Guide was born. Oh, and there's no leaving out Mondrian Studio either. The guide ended up being 36 pages long and going in-depth on every tool available to users in both editors. It's easily accessible by clicking "Open Manual" where the Instructions panel used to be.

The eBook version of The Definitive Guide is included for free with The Last Exhibit update. In fact, it's included with both the demo version AND the full version, although the demo version is in black and white. However, if you'd like to order a paperback version, preorders are now open at Barnes & Noble[www.barnesandnoble.com]. Having the book in paperback offers a few advantges:

Instructions are always on hand, rather than needing to tab back and forth between windows.
The book itself will make a nice conversation piece for your coffee table.
I'll happily sign it for free if you ever find me at a convention or demo night.

The paperback is due to come out February 25, two days after The Last Exhibit goes live here on Steam. Hello everybody! For friends joining us from our Discord, new folks discovering the group for the first time, and the OG's still with us, let me be the first to give you a big hug and say "welcome." After Discord's latest announcement about requiring photo ID and using AI to make an automated guess about user age - in particular just a few months after a massive security breach that resulted in tens of thousands of images of photo IDs being stolen - the decision was made to shut down our Discord and invite everyone over here. Of course, this Group hasn't even been dusted in like... four years?? So it's time for a little house cleaning.

First and foremost: I don't want this group to JUST be about Lantana Games. I play 50+ new indie games every year, and I want to find new ways to share those with the world and this awesome community in particular. So expect to see more on that front, especially using Curator reviews and just some general recommendations.

Secondly, make sure to also join the Chat, as this is where the fun stuff is gonna go. Pet pictures, Mondrian creations, etc. Yes, even memes, but keep them PG please!

Finally, if things pick up over here, I'll look into doing some events like game nights and such. Try out all the tools Steam has on offer.
