Open World RPG game created with RPG Maker VX Ace

Drifters of Fate is beginning to take shape. The core story is in place (and pretty epic by the judgment of all who heard it so far) and almost all core features are prepared and ready. The intro is done and released as a demo for you to check out (see announcements).

Even now, the game is more than your run of the mill RPG. In the tech demo (also available in the announcement for it), you can already do some of the side activities such as farming and cooking, which gives you a pretty good idea of how in-depth the world is becoming.

But that is far from all. The finished game will feature a changing world, where you choose one of four paths based on your action along the axis of good and evil as well as lawful and chaotic. People will react to you differently based on past actions and alignment and even entire towns will change as you pillage, protect, subjugate or upgrade them.

Best of all should be the player home. At first nothing more than a decrepit old castle ruin, it will bit by bit evolve into a splendid castle of dread or glory.
Build a torture chamber (evil) or sanitarium (good) to get information on hidden treasures out of captured enemies.
Create a secret harem (not explicitly portrayed) where for example that succubus you captured will suck out some of your life but also fill your magic right up.
Hire workers to work that farmland and get them books to become better or use that (evil) gargoyle pet of yours to scare them into working harder.
Add to your wall of trophies that represent achievements you got throughout your gameplay and unlock unique quests and powers, if you have trophy sets completed.
There is even more (alchemy lab, adopting children, send horde out to pillage or guards to patrol, lumberjack, miner, smith, enchanter,...) but going into even more detail would exceed the space of this description.

If all the features aren't enough for you as a player, simply create a mod. The game will be entirely without DRM and will include the VX Ace project file. We will be offering a platform to publish your mods (except for graphics mods, you will need RPG Maker VX Ace for modding) so that others can enjoy them as well.

You do not need to have RPG Maker VX Ace to join in but it definitely helps.
