Due to half of the main lineup being not available during the summer time as they are going back to their respective countries, we have decided that we would not take part in this season of ugc. We would return to ugc s11 in the winter period(january-april) to achieve our goal of top 10 teams. Keep training for main class and hope to see you guys soon.

A short message from flare

Hi guys,

I thought through a few things that may be helpful to the team for the next season. I’m just going to put these out here, but I did think these through a bit and maybe some of these will be worth it.

A few days before each match, we can all get onto the server, load up the map the team will be playing on and have one person join a team while the others spectate. That person will go through the map, calling out some positions, strategies and area names while the others are spectating him. Everyone raises suggestions and organises plays.

A demo of the whole thing can be recorded and watched/reviewed later, as in-game chat is recorded as well. This definitely would help organise the team a bit more and allow the team to make calls everyone knows about.

In the actual match, the names we set on Mumble can consist of the class name, and then our names (something like “Heavy: Successful Man”). This helps the team quickly know who is speaking and make communication more efficient.

One last thing. This might clutter comms but I think the team should all switch away from push-to-talk. Microphones will have to be set up well and the team will have to be a bit calmer, but it does help everyone speak a bit more, without having to press a key each time.
