Stellar Refugee is a Player-Driven Roleplay Based Survival Server for Space Engineers. We created this community in hopes to create a Space Engineers gameplay experience that out performed the rest. We are not centered on PvP or PvE. Although we have those elements as well, our top priority is to create an immersive world where immersion, roleplay, and player interaction top everything else. Your story as a character/player will be determined by your choices, interactions and dialogue you have with other players.

Sorry for the lack of activity, but the server listed on the group page is back online. Please join teamspeak if you want to hangout, but the roleplaying will begin and the survival will start again. This server is here for long-term, so if you are concerned with your time being well spent, it will be. The update is FANTASTIC, but the only bug seems to be joining the server:

*IF YOU HAVE ISSUES JOINING THE SERVER PLEASE READ*

You will need to join twice... When you initially join the server and load into the game with a respawn menu, you will not be able to spawn into the game. Instead, it will keep you on streaming. If this occurs, rejoin the server through steam (via friend's list or serverlist). This will get you on.

We now have a server that is being hosted locally out of one of our members' house. It is currently being used to test the new update, but feel free to come play and try out the update and get a feel for the game.

Our purpose is to provide something we can all play on until we find a better solution for a better server/multiplayer experience. Not sure how long that will take, but updates will come out as progress is made.

Any data that you create, i.e. ships, bases etc., may or may not be saved for the next server to play on. It all depends on how seamless things will be.

@Tideygaming thanks mate! I would be on the server more often, but I am working on some ships to eventually mass produce on the server. @Tideygaming welcome to the Senate! We just need every faction that would like a say in what laws and actions are made (like renovating a spaceport or creating more naval bases) to send a representative and then BAM! The Senate is complete and stable!

Here is how my idea of a Galactic Senate would work. Factions would send representatives to the senate, with representatives being selected based on a voting system. Representatives could be disqualified from voting if they are a known criminal, have been caught committing crimes while running for a seat in the senate, or just don't have enough votes to keep going. Laws could be made by a senator suggesting something like "Ramming should be allowed in wartime circumstances" and then other senators could vote on it if they like the idea, also allowing other senators to propose changes to the proposition. A sector based government could also be in place, but not as important as the Galactic Senate. The sector based government would have a governor who would make laws for the sector and listen to any concerns the citizens of the particular sector and try to resolve them.
