FaZe Clan is a professional esports team with teams competing in Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Garry's Mod. FaZe was founded as a gaming clan on YouTube by FaZe Bakon, FaZe Xpertise and FaZe Housecat (later named Timid) making trick shotting videos in the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. These early members originally created sniping videos in the Call of Duty game series. The team would later be led by current leader and owner FaZe Temperrr, then later gave it to FaZe Xpertise. However, during Black Ops 2 in 2012 they decided that they wanted to expand into the competitive scene. FaZe Xpertise placed 3rd at the Call of Duty Championship 2015 and won the 2015 Season 3 championships. The FaZe YouTube channel was created on May 30, 2010 and as of January 6, 2016 has 3,566,201 subscribers, making it one of the most subscribed gaming teams on YouTube.
