The Nights Watch will take no ill-discipline, so if you are a Levy you will get only one chance to behave and show your worth to the clan (if you do not show this, you will be kicked and can reapply in 1 week). If you have managed not to get kicked, congratulations you are now a Footman of the Nights Watch (Levy to Footman promotion usually occurs in 1 week but you have to active and helpful to your fellow Watchers of the Wall). After you have reached Footman, promotions will be based on skill, dedication and activity as the higher ranks are reserved for people who again, have shown their worth.
