From PUBs to PUGs

The Middle East TF2 Community is growing and the comp-community is too.
This group has been created for Middle East TF2 players to practice competitive TF2 through PUGs and learn from the experienced.


1. Requirements?

2. I've heard about MEFortress PUG? What's the difference between this and that?
This group was created to help newcoming TF2 pubbers / players help transition to competitive.

3. Where do I play PUGs? And when?
PUGs are hosted by Mini~. The current schedule is:
Weekend, more information TBD later

4. Any rules in the PUG?
Once there are enough people for a PUG (4v4 - 8, 6v6 - 12, or Highlander - 18), a timebomb will be started in around 5 seconds. Move to spectator as quick as possible at 1 second. Medic Captain duels should take less than 2 minutes and choosing teams should be under 5 minutes.

5. Are these rules strict?
Those rules aren't strictly implied but are recommended. However, there are some rules related like:

- You must take under 10 minutes to choose teams
- Medic duels must take under 5 minutes.

If you're unable to follow these rules, this will result in a 1 PUG ban.

6. What happens if not enough people come?
If less than 8 people do not join after 20 minutes, the PUG will end.

7. Can I invite my friends in that case?
You will be allowed to only if Mini~ and the other moderators approve. If you want a friend of yours to join the PUG before hand, please notify Mini~ or the mods in the group.

8. Alright! That PUG was awesome! But I could use some practice...
One way you can practice is by practicing on Nakedgaming's MGE server and Abdulla's Multimod server. They're usually online and provide useful maps for practicing (MGE).

Offclass rules:
Do not offclass to mid.
Do not offclass if you were picked as Demoman, Medic, or Pocket Soldier.
Do not offclass for consecutive lives, unless holding the last point on a Control Points map or when the timer is about to run out during King Of The Hill.
Stop offclassing if your team asks you to.
