This is a daring attempt to restore the price of keys to either normal or less then what they are now, and just overall lower the price of said things effected.
In case that you didn't know, an increase of keys circulating ISN'T the problem, the problem is that there is too much metal circulating...so how can YOU fix this? Well, this is where you come in, you handsome devil.

It has been common sense that if there is less of something, the more valuable it is. Refined metal has become less valuable because of the increase of idle accounts over the past months/years. This is still a problem, even after the update which basically removed idling.

A good way of just plain getting rid of refined is just deleting it. Another way that you could get rid of your ref is just crafting it to hats. Althought I'm not sure how a mass amount of people crafting hats would effect the price of crafts hats is something I don't know, if you don't want to just delete your metal, you can just craft it to hats.

I cannot guarantee that this will actually work, but it could, and it's better to try than to sit and do nothing. Announcements will be posted on the days we do this. Thank you and have a nice day

Some people have been a bit concered on what to do with your metal once the time has come. Now, you might be thinking "this guy is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron I'm not going to BLATANTLY delete my metul" You don't have to delete your metal, there are other ways of going about deleting your metal. In this case, you have 2 choices for the fate of your precious metal.

1) Crafting is a good way to get rid of mass amounts of metal, specifically hat crafting. Hat crafting can get rid of a good amount of metal at a time and it's more rewarding than just deleting it. Crafting class specific items or item set specific items is a good way as well, and it's more accurate of what you want crafted as a result.

2) Just delete it. If you don't like the risk of crafting and getting something ♥♥♥♥ tier like a bad Heavy hat, or in the case you hate crafting and hats, just delete your metal. Simple as that.

If anyone has any other ideas please feel free to propose them. This is such an utterly dumb idea I literally get cancer everyday I look at this group.

Yeah, this isn't true. What happens - and I have said this since the very first moment I noticed Spreadsheet was used like this, back when Keys rose from 2.5 to 2.88 Refined - is the following:

There are a 100 trades. 90 trades trade 1 Key for 2.5 Refined. 5 trades trade 1 Key for 2.33 Refined, and 5 other trades trade 1 Key for 2.88 Refined. Those last five trades are shown as proof for the rising Key prices, and because a rather large part of the crew of Spreadsheet / backpack.tf profits (or profited) from this rise, it's done.

They have openly admitted to manipulating the prices sometime ago, so yeah...

Guys, listen. It isn't the fact that 'there is too much metal'. It's the fact that people are greedy, if everyone decided 'alright keys are worth that much' you can only accept it. Only call to lower the price would be selling them for a low price. Which would still be a risky call.

metal was made to be crafted, but since nobody seems to craft metal anymore because people find it cheaper to craft hats, there is so munch metal ot there
