On September 10th 2025, - well I'm not sure how much I can write here without being removed, but you know what happened.

In the aftermath, numerous individuals cheered, many work for game developers, and those developers indulge them. We will not stand idle and purchase from people who encourage such behavior.

Rhetoric used by many people led to the event of Sept 10th.

If a game is listed here, someone from this studio has cheered on the events of September 10th or those like it, or they use rhetoric that justifies acts like it and in doing so can be interpreted as a call for it to happen again. We will also call out those who join groups designated as well, i'm not sure what words are okay to say here, but politically criminal I'll say.

We will not stand idle and purchase from people who want you to share the same fate.

Reviewing games non politically.

Just so you guys know, I've been doing a few 'non political' reviews. I've been getting a few games submitted through curator connect. I felt like if they are going to send me games, its only fair I offer a recommendation if I thought they had something to offer. I make sure to tag these 'non political'.

I felt wrong getting games and doing nothing with them. They are typically super indie games, often asset flip stuff, or first time unity devs.

I do a social media search to make sure they aren't calling for violence anywhere, and I haven't seen anything yet. I also don't do non recommend if I don't personally care for the game, I'm saving that for political reasons only. I don't want to unfairly label a game with a not recommended tag cause I fear some people might not look at the context.

Just letting you know. When I started this I didn't even know this system existed, and when I noticed it I thought I really should help out these guys if I think they deserved it. It kind of goes against the ideological line of the curator, but not adding them to the 'celebrate these devs instead' list, and I'm making it clear its not political.

For those who are not aware, the UK site 'The Guardian' recently posted an article about bigotry in Steam groups, and curators.

While they mentioned this curator, they did not specifically say it was bigoted but its inclusion in such article, I find, is guilt by association.

In the article they interviewed the developer of the game 'Coven', who on Sept 10th, before all the facts were known, posted a meme of George Lucas saying 'it's like poetry', in regards to his (Coven Devs) own comment that Kirk was killed by an old white man (now know to be false).

This got him on the list. Yet this was not mentioned in the above article. It characterized this curator as : (their words not mine) "a curator devoted to recommending games based solely on whether their developers are perceived to have correctly mourned the assassination of rightwing activist Charlie Kirk."

At no point have I said its because I didn't like how someone 'mourned'. Its how they celebrated it or mocked it or used similar language that lead to it happening.

They also mention his cries that his game was review bombed with 'RIP Charlie' mentions. calling it harassment. They made no effort to mention any time I have said 'do not harass'. I've never told people to do that, I have merely called out their hateful posts they publicly posted on their accounts they use to promote their game.

They go on to mention how Steam support was unhelpful in removing this curator (Thank you Steam) because they said it wasn't off topic, because its based on actions of the developers. Guardian did not say if they agree or disagree, but its worth noting they were pro-Hogwarts Legacy boycott (https://www.theguardian.com/games/2023/feb/08/pushing-buttons-hogwarts-legacy-jk-rowling).

Why am I posting about this over a week late? Because I had emailed them a week ago, and even though they said they would get back to me, they have not. Only to say the relevant editor is on leave. Which is unacceptable. You can not slander me and the people of this group like that, and claim the editor isn't available. The Guardian doesn't cease to operate, pull another editor. The new cycle has moved on, more people have seen the slander than will ever see whatever retraction you offer at this point.

Again, I want to reiterate. DO NOT HARASS anyone involved in this story.

Also, I choose to remain anonymous and I do not monetize this for a number of reasons. One reason I feel if I do I can't remain anonymous at least not fully,

Due to this, its not legally actionable in anyway and my day to day life isn't affected. So why do I care?

Because dishonest reporting should always be called out. Make their cost benefit analysis for dishonestly force them to ere on the side of truth. Misrepresentations no matter how small should not go unchallenged.

Highguard, Marathon, whatever, it's amazing how once again the "evil right-wingur chuds" manage to successfully do this cuhraAaaAAAazy hate campaign that shuts down a game for good by... doing absolutely nothing other than just not play it.
(Marathon hasn't announced they're shutting down yet but, you get what I mean. The pattern is very much there lol, it's just not a good enough game to justify itself and has insanely bad word of mouth due to this and the terrible marketing + plagiarism controversies)

That said, the collapse of Bungie was a long time coming. They deserve it full stop. If you've been following Desturdny 2's development cycle since release up until now, it's actually insane what they managed to get away with in terms of enshittifying their own product and nickel & diming their playerbase.

Hello. Just want to say thank you for this group. I respect and appreciate this being made. After Charlie Kirk's murder and the vile people celebrating what happened to him because he's a strong representative of the political party they hate, and the way they kept slandering him after his death. Let's just say I've lost any interest in giving these kinds of people the benefit of ANY doubt.
I love video games, but I'll be damned if I give a single cent of my money or a second of my time to any of the games these people make that think this sort of behavior is not only acceptable but encouraged.
These woke narcissists don't need my money or support - their games are ALL horrible anyway, because the only fun these people probably genuinely have is hating anything that's right with the world.

@Core2029 , Probably because certain people that call him an "idiot" are still celebrating his assassination, and are encouraging each other to do the same to everyone interpreted as being his supporters.
