Joey, the lost. But not the forgotten

March 9th, 2009 Joey was introduced as the 10th class in the game. Joey came with a default loadout of The stock shotgun, stock pistol, and a samurai sword, that shared a model with the half zatoichi. But didn't take/give health, it was just a normal stock melee.

Joey even had unlocks, valve had even referenced joey being added in Left 4 dead. But Joey wasn't the most balanced class in the world, and he wasn't the most different. He was soldier with slight changes to the model and without a helmet. He was also extremely overpowered, with on being added, matches were all being stomped by Joey's extreme power. He was faster and had more health than soldier (225 health) but without a rocket launcher valve thought he was fine.

Sadly, in 2011 the uber update came, and with the update Joey was removed without further notice. At this point Joey had been nerfed so much that he just wasn't a very good option anymore. At his removal nobody really remembered or even talked about him anymore. Some had remembered Joey but had gotten it mixed up in their mind that his name was the "madcap" most likely being that Joey had a few cosmetics that made him look a bit like what some pictures of the madcap show.
