The Death of Idling?

So recently an interesting post came up.

It basically talks about dealing with the "Idle threat", something that Valve has ignored for so long and now does something about it. What they said their solution was "players can no longer receive item drops unless they are actively playing the game." and they said that "this change is meant to keep the game as fair, fun, and rewarding to as many players as possible." I don't really Idle, and I don't see how this is going to help the experience, but just piss Idlers off.

Valve continued to say that "Players will simply have their item drops paused" which means that if you are not active, you don't get drops, making Idling useless, but people are going to find a way around it, such as putting something heavy on their keyboard, I don't know.

Still the biggest question I have with this is that why did it take so long to even do something. Does Valve have nothing better to do? Probably not, but still, why now?

What do you think of this. Is Valve really going to end Idling, or is this going to be a failed attempt?

Theres a Forums for this Group you guys everyone are allowed to use. No ones used Really and it Doesn't have a purpose unless someone uses it. I wanting people to make more use of the forums. If theres any More ideas for the forums let me or another admin know. Please give a forums a purpose.
