Q: What is a so called "Adelsman"?
A: It was a seperated overclass portion of society that had perks which a normal citizen didn't have. To become an Adel you had to be really good at war and win your country and exceptional ammount of battles.

Q: How did people become "Adlar"?
A: You where either born into the Adel life, or you where very good at war, in the Kings eyes.
