The 5th Infantry Regiment (5e Régiment d'Infanterie Legere) is an infantry regiment of the French Army created during the French Revolution from the exisiting Navarre Regiment. The Narvarre Regiment was a French Regiment of Ancien Régime. The sixth oldest regiment created in France. Navarre Regiment was created in 1558 under the name of Tilladet Regiment. As a proud regiment with strong ties to France, the 5e fought bravely under the French Eagle and was widely known for it's bravery.

The 5e Regiment was first known as the 5th Georgia Volunteer Infantry, a popular North and South Regiment. Following the harsh decline of North and South mod in late year of 2018, the group leaders of the 5th Georgia decided to transition from North and South to Napoleonic Wars. Although this was hard to decided, the regiment needed to be renamed and to be recreated. The 5th Georgia was formed under Lieutenant Colonel Jonny Powers (Ret) and Irish Warrior (Francis) on Friday the Fifth of December 2014 with the intent of having a good time within the North and South Community. We are faced with a new regiment name, ranks, and structure. However, our dedication and intent of having fun has never fazed. We contuine to be an old regiment and look forward to meeting new members and old friends!

Colonel Irish Warrior (Francis) is the founder of the regiment. Following is Lieutenant Colonel Jonny Powers (Ret) and Former Major Scooter (Ret).
