24th (''Simbirskiy'' Imperial Army) Infantry Regiment

History
October 19, 1811 - the Simbirsk infantry regiment was formed in Moscow from two companies of the Uglich infantry, three companies of the Moscow, two companies of the Arkhangelsk city and one company of the Kazan garrison regiments.
1812 - Regiment participated in the Patriotic War.
During the battle of Borodino, the regiment defended Shevardino Redoubt.
