We are the famous 18th Regiment of the Line, "The Brave"!

The 18eme started in High Medieval Times, and is still alive today! With many Honors awarded and many wars taken part in, the 18eme is one of the longest standing, well known and decorated regiment of all time.

Napoleon's decree of 1811 entitled only five of the 88 active French line infantry regiments to display seven battle honors on the reverse of their tricolore flags. The 18e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne was one of the units so honored. As early as the campaign of 1796-97, the 18th Line's stalwart fighting qualities were noticed by the future Emperor of the French. At that time, Napoleon allowed the regiment to place the slogan "Brave 18th, I know you: No enemy can resist you" on their flag. This distinction marked the beginning of an illustrious and tragic regimental history.

The aim for this new regiment is to follow the ways of the historic 18eme, to strike fear into the enemy's hearts, to fight against anything and everything, produce the real feeling of brotherhood and comraderie. To be disciplined, respectful, and honourable opponents! We shall show the world what we are made of.

Farewell My Soldats - Official Disband

This is my official good bye to you all. It has only been a short running but it is time I made my official announcement of the end of my time playing Mount & Blade and therefore the end of the 18e.

I have decided this because life right now for me is starting to accelarate, and I simply cannot find enough time to put into running a regiment, I don't even really have time to play games any more!

You will not see much of me in the future, as for now I must focus on studies, and other real life commitments.

Although our time has been short I will always remember the men who joined and remember the moments the regient had in our line battles.

P.S. - If anyone wants to step up to leading the regiment, they can ask me to make them officer of the steam group, and ask Tim for Server Admin / Mod on our TS and announce to the rest of the reg, and to Ryan and Hikkupz that they have taken over the regiment, however, for now the 18e is dead.

P.P.S. - If anyone would want to still play in regiments, I recommend joining the 57e, they are an active regiment, with plenty of people to fight with, and the leader and officers have a good basis of leadership and run the regiment very well. If you join tell Furyfire that I told you to join ;)
