I like this idea a lot, & given the chance we'll definitely do some contests/raffles etc etc.

I don't either, but I can definitely see how some people might see it that way.
If we email a publisher/developer and they're happy to provide a review copy without any strings attached I have no problem with it (They just need to know ahead of time that this doesn't mean we're not going to slam the crap out of their game in the review we do).
Irregardless I definitely want to keep the financials behind the site as transparent as possible (for credibility reasons).
