The issue with the last 6 textures is likely a Source Engine limitation. The function SetSubMaterial typically supports a maximum of 32 materials (indices 0-31) per model. High-definition models often exceed this limit. It's not the tool's bug, it's an engine restriction.

also, wanted to say I love this addon, I've been using it for about a year or 2, and i've never really had any significant issues with it, besides not being able to swap materials for the last 6 textures of an hd gordon freeman model.

To all the people saying they can't change their own materials, point the tool at the (empty) ground, and the menu should appear, which will let you change your materials.

guys make sure you have no other sub materials mod enabled and no error in the problems page and using it on yourself will work eventually

@Peg Leg Craig if you dont need to change your own materials, its okay to use old ones

if im still using the old one should I remove it and use this one instead?

I dont really need to use the tool on myself and the old one works fine for me, should I just keep using the old one?

Does this work as a replacement for dupes and saves that list the original Submaterial tool as a requirement?

Now you don't have to press E+R, changing your character's subs is active by default if you're not looking at any object. The addon is fully working

E+R doesent do anything, and i dont wanna waste another 3 years waiting gmod reinstall

Can you fix the tooll not being able to replace textures if a model has a lot? (EX: if a model has around 40+ textures, it wont edit the last 10)

Искал submaterial, так как Гарри делает garry's mod 2, чтобы от первого лица посмотреть, каково разрабам s&box, и уже интегрировал submaterial в движок s&box, и тут нахожу золото. Не знал что у тебя есть свой аналог

I have an issue that i noticed with another version of the mod too, where the Scrollwheel works fine, but I can't apply any material changes below a certain point on the List if it's long enough. This mod can work lower on the list than the version I was using before but I have no idea why or how to fix it/ if there is a version lacking this problem
