For a story game the best thing is having options and routes you never take. Now that might sound counter intuitive but think, if your given about ten or so options and each has dozens of hours of unique content behind it but you can only choose one in that moment, doesn't that give so much more weight to the path you've chosen?

I may never raise an undead army with the Lich path, or restore cosmic balance as the Aeon, or consume all of Avistan as the Swarm That Walks, yet the fact that I could, that so much content is there for me should I go the path, something about that just feels great.

So far I'm enjoying spreading the Song of Elysium as an Azata, and with 300 hours just on that one save standing at the Threshold now I can only look ever more forward to my next run and what path I'll take.
