Captaining my Skipjack in the '68 campaign. Fired a spread of Mk. 16 Torps at two Commie merchants that steamed head on at me. I spliced between them for optimal firing solutions. Nailed both of them. Then that merchant that is able to run at 20+ knots does a full 180 as he is trailing said convoy. I fire a MK. 37 at him and wait for it to acquire until I begin to dive 700 feet and launch two more Mk. 37s, one each, at the escorts that all of a sudden have woken up to my presence. They proceed to do loops for 35+ minutes evading a torpedo they could outrun in a straight line. In my escape I decide lets go see how my first homing torpedo managed. Well... Low and behold. The ship is crippled. Dead in the water. Time to put my Nuclear Powered Attack Submarine Uboat captain hat on. Launch one last Mk. 16 and finish the job. Smooth. Back to my regularly scheduled program of pushing 30 knots to the North. Next mission? Three Novembers show up and send so many torpedoes my way I wish I never left port. Takes me the better part of an hour to systematically get in their baffles and watch them helplessly sink to the bottom as the Mk. 37s don't have enough warheads to outright kill them. "The sounds of their hulls crushing is good for my crew's morale", I tell myself as I stare a hole through the next orders from command telling me to go sink another invasion fleet heading to Bergen. 10/10 would get sunk again.
