I've finished this game months ago, and I usually always write a review after my first playthrough or 100%ing the game. I bought this game for dirt cheap and back then, I had 0 idea what DOOM was about. As someone who appreciates slow paced and story-driven games, DOOM eternal flipped a switch in me I never knew I had. I remember being so freaking "scared" and stressed out by this game, I literally had to force myself to enjoy it. I've since then adapted to the entire system and knew when to do what and that's when you actually start loving this game. Everything from the design choice to the absolute PEAK of metal music, this game really is the embodiment of pure testosterone and adrenaline. This game probably has the smoothest gameplay flow I've ever seen. The DOOM Slayer is a self-sustaining GOD in this game and I really can't exaggerate that enough. I don't really know why I took my sweet time to write this review, but I just knew this game deserved a second chance, so I gave it and now I'm in loooove. The only thing that'll actually get you fuming is the Marauder, believe me, it takes me way too long to actually kill that thing. Regarding the online multiplayer mode, it's completely dead but who gives a ♥♥♥♥, right? After years of hearing compliments and seeing people worship this game, I finally know why they do so.

I usually write long, detailed reviews after finishing or 100%ing a game, but ROTTR was so bad that I'm writing this without even completing the campaign. Don't wanna waste my time or energy by yapping so I'll just give you the summary.

-needlessly long
-needless lore dump
-basically no story
-almost no upgrade in mechanics, combat, or anything from tomb raider 2013, except maybe SLIGHTLY better looking graphics?
-game itself is confused if it wants to be linear or open world
-too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ collectibles, tedious achievements including multiplayer ones, RIP completionists
-you'll get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of Lara's voice, accent and voice acting
-too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cutscenes, ruins the pacing
-wayyyy too many swimming segments literally no one cares about
-you'll spend an entire day just spamming the inspect button to check if you've missed something or not, ruins the entire gameplay and pacing
-so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ repetetive, it gets boring within the first 2 hours

If a game were to be the exact embodiment of the word "PEAK" it would definitely be this one. It's comparatively short tbh, but it's a remake of an ancient game so I don't blame it. Leon being portrayed as this newbie, nervous cope really sets the tone of the game. You can hear him get shocked or surprised at his surroundings, as compared to the more nonchalant Leon in the newer games. The graphics is INSANELY good, Capcom cooked it with the Resident Evil remakes. You need to do a ton of backtracking in this game to solve puzzles, but tbh, most puzzles and keys revolved around weapon upgrades or those pouches, it's optional really. The zombies in this game are extremely tough to kill, even with 7 headshots, the mf just won't die. You can even shoot it's legs or arms to cripple it. Lickers were, to me, the scariest types of enemies, I won't spoil how they work but trust me, they're nerve-racking. Oh, and you gotta be really really conservative with your ammos and inventory space too, most of the time you'll have to sacrifice an item in other to get a key item.

Now, I can't write this review without mentioning the literal elephant in the room, MR. X. Everything from his first appearance, to his nonchalant aura, his adrenaline-inducing soundtrack whenever he's near, it's all just so peak. You can knock him down but I decided not to since I don't wanna waste my ammunitions. Some say that he ruins the pacing of the game, they can respectfully go fck themselves as I believe MR. X adds a sense of terror into the game and makes it 100X scarier.

The story was insanely fast paced but I liked it. Ada, a recurring character, plays a huge part in the whole RE lore which I appreciate and you also get to play with her for a while before switching back to Leon. There's also this 2nd Run mode where you can play as Claire.

Overall, it's a fantastic game. Capcom hit the nail on the head with this one, good job team!

After finishing Arkham City, I now know why people call it the greatest Batman game ever made. It has EVERYTHING (except for the batmobile hehe). Everything from the story, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat system, dialogues, villains, everything was top-notch. The villains in particular were my favourite, it basically had every single one from the lore, including my boy joker. The story had no business going that hard, BUT IT DID. The craaaazy plot twists are amaaaaazing. The graphics and art style didn't improve from asylum that much, but for a 2011 game? it's good enough. I'm gonna dodge the spoilers but after finishing this game, you'll feel an empty space in your heart, especially when the credits roll. Now, the thing everyone hates about this game, the 440 riddler trophies, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved it lol, I basically binge collected it all and got over 40 hours in this game. Playing as catwoman sucked though, I hated that pounce to jump thing instead of the smooth glide of batman. The challenges and dlc are pretty bad and mediocre, I'd suggest just ignoring them as they provide zero material to the arkham lore. Great game, now it's time for Arkham Knight!

Okay, maybe I'm being a bit too harsh but I'm gonna be honest here. It's a good game, like "okay" good game. The fluidity of the jumps and dashes still holds up for a 2013 game. The weapon choices were good too, although I mostly used the rifle. The thing that ruined my taste for the game was the sheer amount of bugs and story. Bugs? Sorry, I meant BUGS. I spent HOURS on puzzles trying to fix it and wondering why it didn't work. I would restart to my checkpoint EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. just to fix the bugs. There's this one red cage that literally slides into the wall of the cave and I can't even jump on it to progress. And the WALKING ANIMATIONS. It's crazyyyy how enemies would just slide across the map in order to come close to you instead of running. Most the time, their legs aren't even moving. Almost as if the devs spent the entire budget to make Lara sexy while forgetting to put any effort on the enemies. And the story. It's bad, like really bad. Lara was basically a slave to everyone and followed everyone's order like they owned her. Her friends would often complain about Lara being useless while the "friends" kept getting captured and Lara kept saving them, again and again. I just wanted the game to end at this point because of the bs story. There was this entire segment of the game where she had to rescue a "friend" cuz that dumbass went alone somewhere and got trapped, only to get injured in the leg, so he self sacrificed himself. That's it, that entire segment was pointless with an even more pointless death. And the game "killed off" many characters and made a huge fuss about it as if we cared, IT'S LITERALLY THE FIRST INSTALLMENT TO THE TRILOGY, THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY BOND AMONG ANY OF US. The only good thing I liked about the game was the combat really. Hopefully Rise of the Tomb Raider won't disappoint. Oh, and did I mention they also have a deity in the story? Yeah, idk why they went all supernatural with the story at the end but that's that.

A must-play if you like Batman in general. This game is sort of spooky in a way — especially the bell chimes when Joker speaks through the intercom. This game is GREEN as f*ck, and I’m not even exaggerating. The vibe and aesthetics are genuinely unique. It looks okay for a 2009 game, but the engine is a bit janky when loading chunks of the map. The freeflow combat system is unique and fun, but I suffered a lot because I played on hard difficulty. The game absolutely punishes button-mashing, which is the main reason I still couldn’t get all the medals in the challenges — meaning I never got the 100% completion badge. The cutscenes were okay, but the dialogue was extremely bad — it almost felt like p*rn-level acting. And the boss fights weren’t that difficult, to be honest. You just gotta use your batarang in time to dodge the titans. The final boss fight with Joker was the worst, though, because you never really get to fight him hand-to-hand. I’d say this game is extremely replayable, but the challenges kind of made me quit instead of fully completing it. But I will… someday.

The greatest zombie survival game I've ever played. I loved loved loved loved the parkour in this game. The various ways of killing zombies, types of zombies, types of overpowered weapons, they were all amazing. Haven't played the other installments to this franchise yet but I got a feeling that it's still the best one out of the bunch. The music in particular gave me goosebumps, heck, I even unironically listen to it on Apple Music. The story was a bit lacklustre but it was okay. The character development of Kyle Crane was amazing too. The DLCs of this game were good too, I got nothing to complain about. You'll easily get hours of gameplay thanks to 2 (3 if you include the following) massive open world maps and TONS of side quests too. Not to mention the graphics still looks insanely good for a decade old game. One of my most favourite games of all time.

Mafia II is, without a doubt, the crown jewel of the entire trilogy. From the characters to the music, everything just hits perfectly. For a remastered 2010 game, the graphics look shockingly good. The chemistry between Vito and Joe is honestly one of the best parts. Their dialogue is so natural and entertaining that it almost feels like you’re the silent third wheel riding around with them. The story really kicks into high gear near the end (no spoilers), but even before that, the missions and character moments keep things fun. This game will also make you realize that everyone needs a friend like Joe Barbaro… preferably one who causes slightly less chaos, but still. One small gripe: there’s no proper free-ride mode, so if you just want to drive around and vibe, you basically have to hop between chapters like you’re time traveling with a Buick. Minor annoyance, but worth mentioning. Now, the DLCs. Both Jimmy DLCs? Absolute cheeks. I have no clue who woke up at Hangar 13 and said, “You know what Mafia needs? An arcade score system.” The achievements for those DLCs felt like punishment for crimes I didn’t commit. But Joe’s Adventure? Fantastic. Easily makes up for it. It adds great lore and gives you a deeper look into what Joe was up to behind the scenes. The way this game injects itself into Mafia I, how and why Vito and Joe did what they did, it gave me literal goosebumps (being vague to avoid spoilers). Playing Mafia II is definitely a cannon event in everyone's life. Easily the most memorable game of the franchise.

I've got to say that this was literally the most gamey a game ever could be. Crazy fun combats, diverse enemies, overkill mods, you name it. I swear the graphics with RTX on will give you a boner. The environment of the game lacks colour and that's what makes it so immersive, you're in this corporate industrial building for the entire game with reflections in every corner. The story was confusing, trust me I tried my best to understand it but I guess I'm just too dumb for it. The cutscenes and dialogues could've been better ngl, most dialogues were cheesy and felt out of place. My biggest complaint with the game is the navigation system, you'll spend HOURS just to get to the places you need to go. There are signs directing you to rooms but even then you'll get lost half the time. The puzzles were fun and interesting too. The AWE DLC was fun too, brought a sort of horror element to the game. Foundation? Not so much. I freaking hated those overpowered Hiss sharpened who could run as fast as light and even teleport but eh, it was challenging to face a lot of enemies at once. Last but not least, The Ashtray Maze. Just for that alone you should buy this game, God how much I loved that sequence. Definitely the most memorable part of the game. Good job Remedy!

This was one of the few games that actually made me cry. The story, characters, music, everything was so damn good and well written. The game was extremely small, but it's a remaster of a 2002 game so that makes sense. The open world was extremely beautiful but you don't really have the chance to explore it while playing the main story, and that's where free ride comes. The collectibles were painful to collect, there are probably over a hundred collectibles and you gotta collect some while playing the story, so don't miss out on that. And the notorious race, you might break your keyboard/controller over it but that's what makes it challenging and fun. You gotta play the entire game from start to finish in "classic" difficulty to get the "made man" trophy. Just buy it, I have nothing else to say.
