I've waited for this game for about a decade now. The new combat mechanics are so swift and smooth that the experience will always be enjoyable. Arrows are pretty overpowered as of the launch of the game, but that may be part of the point. As I'm learning more about this new Calradian land, I love learning the lore about the subfactions and how the one main quest ties them together. It is much more difficult to make a name for yourself in this game compared to the last, but there is a lot of satisfaction and absolute joy in playing this game.

Plus they gave a 20% discount on release so who can really complain *\_O_/*

I am still in love with this game, it is seriously a dream come true. I would buy this game even at a price tag 4x its release price.

Great game obviously, the car mechanics are fun and unique, see other reviews for more explanations on that. However, the past week or so I have been abnormally receiving red disconnects and the throttle icons as well even with ping in the green. I have a friend who plays on the same wifi that I do and he has had no problems. I know it is not a hardware issue because I run 4 v 4 bots which run perfectly fine but still gets the disconnects because of wherever their server is. I'm not sure why their dedicated server seems to single me (among some others online) out and prevent us from being able to play the game at all, but just to put it into perspective, it is the difference between a low plat (equates to about a nova master in CSGO) and high silver rank (equates to a silver in CSGO). Fix ur servers Rocket League or fix the issue, it's definitely not client-side.

Update: Servers have been fixed and I have not had any issues since late 2018

UPDATE: The Red Shell process no longer appears and is suspected to have been removed. HOWEVER, Paradox/HOI4 have not publicly pledged to remove it from the game to my knowledge. As a result, this process can be hidden/renamed/wrapped in different processes and happen without our knowledge but with our "consent" in their terms we agree to. As a result, I will be keeping this review up here so it is known about. Do with it as you will.

So sad that this used to be one of my favorite games. Love the alternate history and the World War II "simulation," if you will. Like any Paradox game, you are signing up for unnecessarily overpriced DLCs adding base content into the game, but it luckily doesn't impact the game too much like others (mostly thanks to an active modding community).

However, this review would be a waste if I did not touch upon the RED SHELL SPYWARE new EULA agreement that is running rampant throughout Paradox games. If you aren't aware of its incorporation of Red Shell into its new EULA, I encourage you to check out this reddit post as they are collecting data from your computer that is solely for selling to third parties and a complete violation of privacy. This is a hot topic so I will leave you to the reddit posts and your own research, but I for one am strongly disturbed by their incorporation of this into their game and will be refusing to purchase any Paradox game until it is fully removed as some other game companies did.

Great game. Obviously not realistic, but it provides conceptual use of cool network mechanics. It's not a tool to learn, but if you want to mess around and feel like a hacker anyway, this is your game.

You have to check out this game. It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years.

First Day:

Absolutely disappointing. Game won't even load and I tried for hours to fix it. I removed antivirus, firewalls, restarted computer, verified game files, reinstalled, ran both executables with administrator priveleges, downloaded and ran a bypass executable, ran numerous compatability checks, nothing seems to make my game work. This should be fixed, especially for a game straight from steam. Functionality is the only problem right now because I can't even get to any screen at all.

So what happened was it wouldnt load likely because it was bugged or something. However, since the update a day later, I was able to launch the game.

The overall message here is that though it is fun to play, only get this game if you are willing to put up with some major bugs every now and then. But don't really make me stop you from getting it if it's something you really want to play/

THIS GAME IS TOTALLY AWESOME. If you've ever played a total war game think of that, but you're one of the units. Sor of like mount and blade warband, but you are much much stronger than one ai soldier so really it's like mini generals which is awesome. Very well made and thought out. English support is not that bad, You can understand it and learn easy. I love it already for my first playthrough (plus it's still in alpha)! (lol first review).

Really good game. I've been playing it for a while, and though at one point I stopped playing this to move onto another game, I always find myself coming back to this. The cheat integration is really useful :D and allowed if campaigns become too rough, and the overall roleplay experience is just fantastic. 10/10 One of my favorites

Potential to be an amazing game. Seems really cool, great ideas, and awesome advancements. Unfortunately, I've preordered this game about a month or two before it came out, and I still cannot even run the tutorial 1st mission. It's a bit saddening and I know some other people have been able to start up the game and play a bit, so if anyone thiinks they can help me please let me know. Every time entering the mission it crashes and reboots my whole system. (Yes I have uninstalled and re-installed it).
