Yes, UI needs work,I will be eagerly awaiting the patches, but there's a lot of fun mechanics and the artwork is amazing. I'm loving the independent peoples, the influence game, and of course the navigable rivers.

I have had no life since starting this game, except for my medieval village. Early access - yes, but that just means to expect things to get better all the time. I can tell already, this will be one of the games I come back to over and over for years. I love the level of detail - everyone going about their business, you can watch them. Every sheep has a name. What really drew me in is the artwork. The realistic wild plants, recognizable species. The light off the trees after an ice storm, the ponds melting and slowly freeing the lilies in spring. The decorative ironwork on wealthy burgers' doors. I feel like I can step into a painting by Breugel and walk around inside.
