Its been over 2 years since release and the game hasn't changed in any significant way. The stuff they advertised in previous updates (operation medic bag) have yet to be released or even developed. They even managed to screw up the wording on their blog post about the skill tree remake. At this point I'm convinced they're in a race with TripWire to see who can go bankrupt faster.

amazing game ruined by a community that shares a single brain cell and prefers meme updates instead of actual game improving updates with significant changes. Players are either really good and nice to you or they're brain dead "friendlies" that lash out for killing them once in a shooter game. Community feels like it has Stockholm Syndrome after the latest update which added nothing of importance except for a gamemode that was already in the game for over a decade at this point, but valve made it worse and stripped it down.

After the many updates and hotfixes I can finally say this game is worth buying

Fatshark for once listened to criticism and improved the gameplay and weapons by a long shot. The difference is basically night and day. In addition they added a couple of new weapons which are insanely fun to play around with and feel amazing to use. New missions from The Carnival are a blast to play through. The only major downside to this is the god awful crafting and reward system.
You need to grind A LOT for the gear that you want. But this is somehow resolved since believe it or not you DON'T need the highest rarity of a weapon for it to be good. You don't even need perks and blessings to be effective. I use grays and can get through damnation. They do make the game more fun tho.

As it stands now, this is finally a decent little game you can play to have fun and take a break from other more competitive oriented titles.

This game deserved so much better, but the parasite that is Atari won't let anyone make a proper remaster of this game. Remember Atari is the reason the series went to ♥♥♥♥ in the first place, if anyone is to blame its definitely them and not NightDive. They just do what they're told.
