Hey dude, you liked corneroids right? Well, since that's vaporware now, I thought I should tell you about Starmade, it's currently in alpha and free, and it's got a ton of features, including pirates and shops. It's also quite well optimised, you can have fleets of giant ships and it'll still be quite stable.There's also a thread on facepunch if you wanna check it out.
