Fluid movement, responsive shooting, funny weapons, plenty of secrets, satisfying audio, and to top it all off,
an absolutely BANGER soundtrack.

Be warned tho, it is restricted to 2 players. It is built to be co-op, and having a third or fourth player would make the maps feel too small, among other things. I think co-op works fantastically for this game.

This is a rougelite that doesn't take its story seriously (mechanically) but still ends up being really interesting because it is just well thought out and fits really well as you play more

Load up a with fun weapons and tools before dropping into a hostile world to take what is rightfully yours from the alien bugs that have taken over the planet. A variety of tools are at your disposal, so make sure your team consists of some good balanced coverage to ensure your team comp has no weaknesses. Complete your primary and secondary objectives while the planets inhabitants swarm you to try to snuff you out. Contact mission control during key moments to send down support like resupplies and extra dwarves...

Wait this isnt Deep Rock Galactic.

I wanted to say hi to the corridor goblin, but he kept running away from me and dragging bodies around corners, rude.

This game is actually full of bugs, and these devs are putting their playerbase in charge of fixing them. No wonder more keep popping up, we try to fix one bug and then a swarm appears. When the workers union expressed their annoyance at this, they straight up threw us into the SALT PITS. I would say JUST THAT is putting salt on the wound, BUT, to ADD to it, we have to pay OUT OF POCKET for medical bills from injuries on the job. Thats like pouring blackout stout on our gaping wounds... wait actually that might help. LLOYD! GET ME A ROUND OF BLACKOUT STOUT FOR ME AND... uh... just me...

Ark, but easier to understand, simpler to control, significantly less laggy and buggy (even in early access).

Poorly optimized for the average gamer's system. I could not get above 30 fps even in the least graphically intensive areas on the lowest potato settings. Also the game, of the few minutes i could bear, had kinda poor gun combat, I was not a fan.

But hey, maybe I am the problem, maybe I am not playing the game how they want me to, maybe I need to become soulless and mindless like this game!

the story never hooked me even after forcing myself through it for nearly 5 hours, the predatory microtransactions were annoying, and the mechanics were just not my style, kind of felt like they had an idea for a mobile game and made a massive mmo instead. Art is good though, and music is pretty decent
