The world feels lifeless since the NPCs are barely a step above MMO NPCs. For a single player RPG this a big no for me as it completely breaks immersion.

Short game, but good story. Definitely worth the 2 dollars. Interesting mechanics where you move forward by blinking. I hear it's free on Netflix? Not sure if that's still true or not, but 2 dollars is nothing. Play it with the webcam one.

It's a great game. I hope for more games like this. It feels miserable that there is nothing similar left to play.

I guess people are mad for having donated to the Kickstarter, but I didn't donate. I just wishlisted this game years ago.

I enjoy the demo so far. I could not care less about the use of AI. It's tastefully done. In fact, I wish they'd voice ALL of the character lines. An AI voice is better than no voice, especially when so many of these dialogue blocks are several sentences long and you have to wait for it to slowly typewriter through it all.

I am having fun though. I like the idea. The driving needs to be tightened up and it should default to fully zoomed out because you can't see the cars coming otherwise. The concept is really cool though and I feel like there's a lot to do. It feels like the city aspect of Farming Simulator greatly expanded plus a lot of gameplay loop from Stardew Valley. I wish they would have scaled the game down a bit for the first title. The city is pretty big and there's a lot going on there.
I'm only an hour in but wanted to comment since so many people are bashing it.

It's fun, but needs more single player content.
I am having fun soloing the objective maps though, whatever they are called, I forget. It takes literally like half a day to clear the map though.

I'm going to drone on for a bit.

I'd like enemies that drive vehicles. It'd be fun to have a tank coming after me.
The AI is pretty dumb. You can survive anything by just going up stairs and aiming down the stairs and shooting them as they come up.
Speaking of dumb AI, they also have eagle vision. They'll see you through TREES from like "400m" and put down very accurate fire on you while standing and burst firing an AK-47. This just isn't possible irl. There's this thing called recoil where the first round is accurate, but subsequent rounds are absolutely not accurate and especially out to 400m. Also notice I put quotes around 400m. Distance in this game doesn't feel accurate to real life. I used to do ranging for artillery, would spot an enemy guy and call artillery on him kind of thing. The people that are 400m in this game look like a person out at 1km and maybe a bit further. I don't know if it's because I'm on 1440p or what. I don't remember having this issue with any of the Armas. I used to range estimate in VBS as well and would always land within 50m. I don't know what's up with it but I can't range in this game.

Fun game though. I should try playing the multiplayer. I'm looking forward to Arma 4 even more now. I'll probably be 100 by the time it comes out though.

It's a walking simulator where 99% of the content is written. You have to remember ALL the facts you read and if you forget something then you better remember where it was written or you'll have to re-read through 300 diaries, and letters over and over again while slowly walking across the map at 2mph to look in all of the same buildings for the 100th time. It would've been great to make previously read content searchable or something.
Most puzzles are solved by finding keys or figuring out combination locks, so it's like an escape room that last for 8 hours instead of 30 minutes. If you get stuck somewhere then know that walkthroughs aren't even helpful because each step of walkthrough has it's own walkthrough to solve to solve the walkthrough step, and those usually have their own walkthrough too. It's why the discussions forum is loaded with people asking questions.
One part I was stuck on for a few hours because there was a little key dropped on the floor of a massive room that I didn't see. I walked all over town to all of the stores and houses and had no idea I was missing something, I just couldn't progress. I read all of the diaries again trying to find a clue I had missed and there was just nothing. I googled it and after retracing all of my steps I realized there was a key on the floor of a 1 room out of the probably 200 that you can go into.

I wanted to like it but I don't. I've tried playing this game a half dozen times by this point and I can't force myself to finish it. It's incredibly boring and unsatisfying solving each and every one of the 10,000 identities you have to solve by replaying the same memories ad nauseam until something clicks and the thing that usually clicks is you solving another identity that makes solving this new identity more likely. The controls for navigating the book are not intuitive and even after 8 hours of playing this game I constantly find myself hitting escape when I should be hitting tab, and tab when I should be hitting Q.
Playing this game I always felt like I was doing something wrong so I would keep reading and making sure I wasn't missing any steps with how to play the game but nope it really is finding someone with 1-triangle (meaning you should be able to solve them), bookmarking all of their memories and going through each and every one looking for clues to their identity. Most of the time even a 1-triangle person has their killer hidden behind 3-triangles, so now you just wasted 20 minutes of your life navigating into a dead end.
You know how on Rotten Tomato you have all the artsy fartsy movies rated 100% but the movies are boring and you know no one in real life that likes the movies because they make everyone real fall asleep? I think that's how this game has been treated because the oh so clever art style and uniquity of overall design. Personally playing 3D "Where's Waldo" on Gameboy isn't it for me.

the only reason you should buy this is if the lighter you use to set money on fire is out of fuel.
