I play mostly role playing, or story-rich action-adventure games, however I wouldn't say "no" to a nice crafting or economy game...

Among my favorites are all Sid Meier's games, RPGs in Forgotten Realms (Baldur's Gate etc,) or Tamriel (Elder Scrolls series), whole Fallout and Thief series or the new Tomb Raider trilogy.

I'm always ready for 1:1 exchange for my duplicates (see cards above and below)! It would be great if you also use the Steam Mobile Authenticator - blocked trades are no fun, but I sometimes accept also those - just with a little lower priority ;-)

Very atmospheric and rich story about two siblings living in a time of plague. The game is stable, and I never encountered any bugs during my ~16 hours of play time (enough to finish the game without rushing it, however I gathered maybe 30% of available optional collectibles).

Tha AI of characters (pathing and behaviour) is good enough to keep you fully engaged in the story. The puzzle elements are not really difficult to figure out, so you wouldn't be stuck in any particular place for longer, and still feel that you achieved something.

The story is mostly linear - no story changing decisions you can really make (besides dying of course) - however that's fine, as the game is telling you a particular story which is really worth following. There are some optional places you can miss if you rush, which may add some elements to the plot, but nothing very important, so you can just immerse yourself into story and play however fast you like.

The game is always nicely providing required resources whenever they are needed to push the game forward, so you don't have to gather everything, but still it could make some challenges a little easier if you are able to upgrade your equipment earlier.

The saving system is "console style" - so saving automatically on checkpoints, which are frequent enough to not make you frustrated if you die. And you might lose your life quite often - arcade parts although not super difficult, still pose some challenge. Additionally - if you want to collect everything, you can replay any particular chapter (each of them isn't very long, so you shouldn't get bored if you "really need" to collect all the achievements).

The graphics are good, sound effects and music are raising the immersion bar, and voice acting is great. I can highly recommend this game, especially if you like story-rich, immersive and dramatic games - it was definitely a valuable 16 hours of playtime for myself.

In 2021 Amazon tried to expand to the MMORPG market, with a Fantasy RPG called New World. The game would focus on crafting and PvP, with three major factions fighting for territory influence. The game wouldn't require subscription, which could encourage new players to move from subscription based games like World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy Online. As players generaly hate the "Pay-to-win" games, all in the game should be available for free, and the microtransactions should be mostly around cosmetic elements.

The game was released, there was a quick influx of players, and a very quick decline few months after. Unfortunately the game had a lot of bugs, common errors in translations, PvP balance issues and poor PvE layer, so after initial interest people started dropping (you can check the historical stats for example on mmo-population website).

However, Amazon didn't abandon the game and reallyfocused on improving it. After two years of their work I can confidently say that New World is finaly great! (It's a pretty similar case like the story of "No Man's Sky"). The game is finally a lot of fun! The PvE is exciting, there is a lot of interesing quests. The crafting is definitely the best comparing to all the other MMOs (I think Final Fantasy Online is pretty close though). The graphics are really pleasant, all characters are nicely voiced (also in different language versions), and the PvP seems to be finally balanced!

The first expansion was recently released, which added new territories, increased the level cap and introduced mounts (with interesting leveling approach to the riding skill), There is a lot of fun with houses, cool instrument playing minigames providing buffs, and again the whole crafting layer which is simply amazing. The community is generally friendly
(but please expect that there will be always someone who will race you to that sweet harvesting node and "steal it" just from under your nose ;-) ).

It's pretty obvious the game is for the international audience, as you can see people in chat speaking in different languages, but actually it is very nicely fitting the game story - people from different countries in our "Old World" are trying to colonize the "New World". And generally the story there seems pretty reasonable!

The PvP is now fully optional and you can completely skip it, same as group content (major quest plot even gives you an option to select a "solo" or "group" path whenever it matters).

One thing that could be made better is definitely the complexity of quests, or maybe richer descriptions for the quest stages - but I suppose there is a lot of folks, who hate reading, so maybe developers tried to make stuff more casual and inteded for diverse audience. There are also supposedly still some bugs in quests (I encountered a single one after ~160 hours of play time), but fortunately the bugfixing is quite frequent. There are also still some random missing translations, but of course it matters only if you switch to other language version than the original English one. There are also sometimes login queues (that last for few minutes), but so far I encountered them maybe three times (while I logged to the game hundreds of times and actually mostly during the peak periods: evenings and weekends).

What surprises me the most is that there are still "haters" complaining about the game both in the chat and on Internet forums (while still playing it of course). Especially focusing on expansion "price to content" ratio. I really don't get it - there is no subscription here, and all the microtransactions are fully optional. The game is constantly actively maintained. The price of the main game plus expansion is approximately around 6 monthly subscriptions for other MMORPGs. And you have to still pay in them for the game and expansions as well, don't you? But I suppose there would always be trolls.

Summarizing - great game, lot of fun, definitely worth the price (even non-discounted one). I definitely recommend it!
