Update: this game is better than Destiny 2 in literally every way. That is all.

First Impressions:

I can't really explain exactly how perfectly this game hits the sweet spot for me. I'm a massive cyberpunk nerd who writes and composes around the genre. I'm obsessed with dense lore and excellent writing (50k words deep into my own cyberpunk worldbuilding project, but that's not really important) and even more than that, I make and love the exact genre of the OST. I would've played this game for these three alone, regardless of gameplay.

But it goes deeper than that. I've played Destiny 2 for wayyyy too long. I found Deadlink at a time when I was quitting D2, but in need of the same things that lead me to fall in love with Destiny to begin with: the gunplay, movement, and buildcrafting. This game nails all 3. Granted, I've only played the Soldier so far, but this is first impressions hahaha. Once I'm done writing this, I'm going to go try out the Hunter.
