It's a decent arena shooter but weak competitor to Quake Live and others in the genre with little to differentiate itself aside from the nice distinct art direction. I'd recommend it, but the only real reasons to play this is the novelty or it's newly acquired F2P status.

A fine WWII shooter with the most beautiful Source engine graphics I've ever seen that unfortunately got shafted from neglect. NWI got too blindsided by their later live service hit which led to early abandonment and the lack of basic maintenance that involves fixing the game's broken W11 compatibility, crashes, and other issues that affect it today which are responsible for it's declined playerbase. It's a crying shame I didn't buy this years ago at the peak of it's popularity when I had the chance.

Duke Nukem Forever as it is is not a truly bad game or even dare I say a bad Duke Nukem entry (particularly the DLC), but the 14 years of development hell buildup to a 6/10 FPS that mischaracterizes Duke plus a can of poor raunchy humor alongside some generally flat levels, bosses, and weak pacing makes it an unfortunate disappointment that greased up Randy Pitchford for Duke Nukem's bleak future today as a (former) game franchise.

DNF 2001 will never not be the greatest wasted potential in gaming history. You're gonna carry that feature creep, George Broussard.

A classic early 2000s GoldSrc mod gem that reminds you of when games used to be simpler fun with no extraneous ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, an idea which is becoming evermore distant by the year.

Patch the game's issues introduced after 2023, bring back the 167 achievements, and add Steam Networking support and I'll consider my $15 reimbursed.

Early Access Review
I both enjoy and hate this game.

On the one hand: ATLYSS can be a decent satisfying RPG with an enchanting atmosphere, superb music, a nice artstyle, well-done N64 stylized graphics, and a charming world.

But on the other hand: ATLYSS can be an illegible repetitive slogfest with high difficulty spikes, unfun bosses, and sometimes needless finicky platforming. There's also the fact that the game was obviously made by a furry gooner with a character customizer, NPC designs, and other features (e.g. the dedicated roleplay tab in the multiplayer menu that holds the godforsaken "Vore server (18+)") to facilitate that goonerism plus a community that heavily engages in it, tainting the game.

I'd reluctantly recommend giving it a shot if you're intrigued by it, but only in single player / with friends away from the BBW futa brap vore roleplay side of the game.

While fundamentally still a fun game, Overwatch 2 (I refuse to call it by it's retarded forever live service-esque rebranding) is an identity crisis riddled F2P bastardization of Overwatch 1 that spits on it's unduly grave; a grave of which is only now getting reverse engineered to be playable again.

Gameplay readability is far worse with a bloated MOBA-tier hero count of increasingly unoriginal characters (let's add Jetpack Cat because Marvel Rivals and Jeff the Land Shark makes us quake) alongside a perk system that both add on to dilute what used to be a simpler game, the Stadium gamemode is forcing a MOBA onto an FPS (you will never be Deadlock), the art direction smells more like Valorant by the year, the battle pass slop monetization system reeks of Fortnite alongside the lowest common denominator collabs and some skins that look like entirely different characters which also affects the aforementioned gameplay readability (not to mention the sexual eye candy / downright fetishistic skins made to appeal to gooners, remember the grippers[x.com] tweet anyone?), and a new pointless generic mobile-ass main menu reminiscent of what every live service game uses today. All of this also fails to mention the fact that Overwatch 2 is a cucked sequel that didn't live up at all to what people were given a promised PVE vision of all the way back in 2019; all decisions helmed by a company with little integrity left and a supply of freshly stolen breast milk.

Overwatch 1 was turned into a paperweight for this. Remember what they took from you.

A once great TF2 mod ruined by the server verification system as well as changes made to the custom server browser which have greatly damaged server / mod traffic, on top of a regressed Steam release and growing insular community of mentally ill sexual deviants on the rainbow spectrum who play more to ERP with others alike than to enjoy the mod itself. Not to mention the developers briefly harboring a known pedophile on their team, having a troll's remorse past they snuff discussion of on the forums, platforming ban-happy Vault F4 servers, and being the same deviants as the community that infest their mod.

Some of these issues were already present before the Steam release, but the last few months have shown how rotten to the core TF2C is; and I don't feel comfortable bothering with it anymore.
Original Review:
A great TF2 mod that's managed to rejuvenate some of my lost spirit for the game. However, the Steam SDK release is generally a downgrade from the prior Source 2013 Multiplayer build with some glaring bugs, lesser performance, lesser netcode, needless changes such as those made to the UI, and a loss of misc features. For a dev team that touted "polish" before release, this isn't it. I'd still highly recommend it despite that though.

If you're new to TF2C, be weary of the community which is infested with those on the mentally ill porn addicted rainbow spectrum (kids, turn off sprays, text and voice chat to avoid getting mind raped).
