This is a bit of a late review that I've been postponing to write for a long time, but here it is.

There's so many things to say about this game I can't even begin to put it all out. It's artistically beautiful as well as it's emotionally impactful. The soothing, feel-good indie music makes it all the better and honestly there's no Life of Strange game without them. *no spoilers* It's basically a story-based game divided up into 5 episodes where you are Max Caulfield who recently got accepted into a photography academy she's been longing to get into. You find out pretty quick that you have supernatural powers which is central to the story and how you will play throughout the episodes with the decisions you will make (or unmake). You get to observe the world around you as you listen to Max's thoughts and backstories whenever you focus in on notable objects and places, read her entries on her journal, and interact with the people around you, almost all of whom have their own lovely story and will stay with you until the end. It's these little details that makes the gameplay worthwhile. Oh, and you take pictures for Steam achievements if you want. But it's also the cute friendship and lasting bond of the two protagonists that seems to be what was so captivating towards the audience and I honestly agree. They're inseparable and you don't miss a day without them.

I consider this one of my all-time favourites and I hold it close to the heart. But I'm telling you, this game will get you in the FEELS for days and days following the completion of this game, it's just that good of an experience. I've had my fair share in playing other story-based games but this one hits different.

However, I'll add on that this isn't a perfect game so I'll include some thoughts. It's a game where you travel back in recent time up to a certain point that the game allows you which allows you to rework certain decisions if you want to. But with any game that has that, it's obvious that there will be some loopholes and paradoxes with the whole time-travelling and chaos theory stuff, but I chose to just ignore that and let it be so I won't think too hard and ruin it for myself.

The facial animations in this game are pretty average, which didn't really give the AMAZING voice actors justice and a few scenes seemed off. But I understand considering it's a 2015 game and the tech wasn't that advanced, although I heard in Before the Storm it's much better.

If you've only played the free Episode 1 and stopped there, KEEP GOING.

On a final note, I wish I can rewind and play this masterpiece all over again.

Now, back to the mosh pit.

Everything in this game was very well-made throughout and loved the story as well. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to lose themselves in an atmospheric, post-apocalyptic world.

Easily the most fun I have ever had playing a game. I'd like to say that one of the best features of this game is its modding community. Think this game is already fun enough? Well mods exist to push that limit up to sovngarde; you can never have enough fun!
