I suppose it's time for me to review this.
Well, I haven't been playing this for a year (I started late October of 2016). I was invited and got curious. Apparently, I have few accounts to observe further the mechanics of the game. Gameplay-wise, the game is impressive, as most abilities require ability or skill to predict and hit (Nu Wa's ult is the hardest. Kidding.), and only a few, counted abilities can be considered as auto-target/lock target or whatever you call such abilities (Neith's ult, Ao Kuang's ult). Graphics-wise, in the subjective point of view, I'll say that this is easy in the eyes and comfortable to play with (as I played MMORPGs of similar graphic quality), but objectively, I would say the game is quite behind, as most games nowadays tries to acquire the 'realistic' looks, or similar to that (for example, Paragon, which is another MOBA/ARTS that I like, though I still prefer SMITE). Developer-wise, I'd say Hi-Rez Studios made a great job in maintaining this game, despite the issues regarded by the gaming community (balance) and the religious community (the Hindu issue).

The factors to be stated below can be considered optional, depending on the reader:
-Player base: SMITE has a high player base, with a few thousands in Steam and more players from the external client. The player count can be considered impressive and the game is functional as queue durations only last for a short while.
-Community: Surprisingly, after creating approximately 3 accounts (pardon me), I find the lower-levelled players more toxic and immature than the older and veteran players, regarding Casual gaming AND Ranked gaming. So, if you want matured and respectable allies, I suppose you should rush your levels.
-The Gods: Not much issue here at all, except for the few balancing issues from the previous patches and patch notes. Some gods, in my subjective view, seemed to have lost their purpose in the battlefield, and some gods have buggy effects (one of which is The Morrigan, whose ultimate sometimes needs to be clicked 2 to 3 times (in my case, in Instant Casting) to activate.
-The Skins and Cosmetics: Not much of an issue here as well. Some are poorly designed; some are amazingly designed; some are just right.
-DLCs and Purchasable Goods: This is one of the best traits of SMITE: the Goods and DLCs. SMITE has an in-game currency, the Favor, which can rent or purchase gods in the discretion of the account owner. Favor can be received through playing, either victory or defeat. In such case, one could say that this game is not Pay-to-Win, as the cosmetics and DLCs have no direct effect to the gameplay.

A lot more can be say to the game, but I'll consider only some of the factors. Enjoy gaming!
