Undoubtedly one of, if not THE best stealth games ever made. 10/10

Not worth the money. The executions are okay, but the gameplay is repetetive and a little dull as a result, and the really bland colour scheme makes it difficult to discern what's going on sometimes and can lead to annoying deaths when you're trying to escape the feds and you can't see you're running into a fence because it's so hard to make out. The majority of the game seems to be really large open levels which can be good and bad but they don't have a huge amount of variety I feel. Some of the side objectives can be entertaining, but some of them seem a little buggy where they just don't get marked as complete when you've clearly done so. The ridiculously edgy comments the edge lord character makes were funny at first but I got sick of them by the 3rd level. Lastly, even on easy there is a pretty big difficulty spike on the later levels, I'd say level 4 onwards.

Overall it's decent but nothing special, there's no great variety in anything at all, including weapons and executions, level design and gameplay, but it can be fun if you just want a quick murder session, but you probably won't play it for too long at once. Not worth the price tag I feel.

This game was my childhood, and I can say without a doubt that it's just as brilliant and enthralling now as it was back in the 90's. This, alongside Abe's Exoddus, is a must have for anyone looking for an exciting, fun, amusing and challenging game. The world is beautiful, the story is riveting and deep, even philosophical if you look deep enough, and the characters are engaging and easy to become attached to, and this runs right throughout the Oddworld series. I think this is second to only the sequel, Abe's Exoddus, only because of the implementation of the quick save feature and the 'All o' ya!' button in gamespeak. Although my steam play time may not show it, this is one of the games I've played the most of, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. If you haven't played this game yet, do it now, it's dirt cheap and you're paying for an unforgettable experience.
