The game has, like previous PB games, a lot of potential thanks to a large open world and lots of cool high-level features. But it's the basic details that aren't fleshed out well enough. Things like the animation-driven character movement that makes it hard to walk on narrow surfaces (which you do a lot due to the vertical gameplay), the user interface (the inventory is one big list that you need to scroll through - and that doesn't even work smoothly), animation bugs (enemies teleport into your face while they should be stun-locked) and so on. Unfortunately it's these basic elements that you're interacting with permanently throughout the entire game - and if those are annoying, you're annoyed during the whole experience. That's what killed the game for me.

I think they should've maybe done a bit of a smaller map, maybe one less faction, a few less items, maybe drop some of the IMO not-so-great lore told through notes and audio logs... and instead put some more resources into developing the key gameplay elements.

On top of that, the animations, dialogues, character design, story telling etc. is pretty mediocre at best, but honestly that doesn't bother me much. It's the previous points that bother me.

I wish they'd move away from trying to make a hollywood-movie-like experience with emotional story-telling and huge worlds and so on, and instead really concentrate more on fun gameplay.

Absolutely amazing, even though standing in my living room with my VR headset on for hours makes my feet hurt. But the experience was so worth it. This was the first game that actually made me feel it was worth buying a VR headset.
