Well, this game is art. Goofy, profound, and sincere art. An interactive album, a movie, the most in-depth hiking simulator ever made. The last 5 hours of this game left me staring at my screen for a solid 30 minutes after the credits rolled. I love this thing.

This game does Ace better than Ace. At least for right now. It's a passion project made by people who know what they are in homage to, in and out. It's what the Mandalorian is to Star Wars, but for Ace Combat.

The fact that this game is developed by one person is remarkable.

The gameplay is punishing while you're learning but so satisfying to learn. I picked this up in the sale and It's quickly joined the ranks of games where I boot it up and then its 2 am all of a sudden ---- and I just want to optimize my last design.

As you have probably heard, this game is an underrated gem. It's a third person shooter, yeah, but the story is actually really well done, and it takes you on a ride with the characters. The game treats you like an entity in the game, not just a passenger.

Plus, the soundtrack is really well done. It's a mix of apocalypse now and modern orchestration at times.

Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a real story, good cinematics, excellent voice acting, with not a lot of the usual grinding.
