As a fan of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, I was drawn in to this game from the start. All of the quests are well-crafted, and the leveling system is better made than Oblivion's was. The main quest is also well-written, and I enjoyed all of the characters.

The only criticisms I have of the game involve some stability problems and plot elements. I don't know if SureAI is still allocating resources to this game, but I hope they are able to make a Remastered version of this game someday and expand on a few things.

Main quest spoilers
I did say the plot is well-written, but there are some parts that seemed incomplete. It mostly becomes apparent near the end of the game. At then end, your character becomes the Shadow God and goes to a ruin in order to learn more about your purpose. During which, you have some visions and become interrupted by a group that take some powerful weapons from you. You manage to get them back only to get trapped again and for one of the group's members to take one of the weapons again. After some time, a glowing figure comes and frees you. You wind up finding the location in even more ruin with undead running about. You fight some zombies, take back your sword, and the quest ends. There is nothing else main quest wise given after finishing this quest. I didn't read much of the lore within the game's books, but this seems like a lackluster way to finish a game that has so much care given into the level design and world. Wouldn't your character be interested in completing the examination in order to learn more about the Shadow Gods? The journal does say that the whole examination might have been a ruse to bring your character into the location in order to access the weapons you have, but I think they should have continued with the quest after getting the swords back. It is not clear what happened to the group that trapped you to begin with.

I also wish there was a way to save Kim from being killed by Sarantha. Although I do think it fits with the theme of the game. Fate (Sarantha) has a plan and punishes those who deviate from the plan. Narathzul Arantheal attempted to become the Shadow God and loses his love interest and is killed. Near the end, you find the body of a past Shadow God who lost everything in his attempt to break the cycle. Your character winds up losing your mentor, your friends, and your love interest in becoming the Shadow God. Sarantha openly boasts she has taken everything from you before you fight her, but, once you defeat her, Fate no longer has any meaning. I am convinced there is a loophole here that would allow Kim to come back. Maybe the others also.

I should mention that I have not played much of Enderal yet in order to effectively compare the two.+
